Surprisingly, this is the first PSA Wash and Carolina ever hosted together rather than being guest appearances.
And unsurprisingly, it's also one of the most competent in terms of advice. Compare with one of the old classics, like Fire Safety.

I forgot just how much I love the Doc/O'Malley dynamic.
I have a theory that O'Malley is the half conscious and Doc on the other side of the Brain, from Omega's piece of him combined Doc's Brain cells due of teleportation bombs during Chorus.

@@texasball1768 no. It’s just due to Omega being with Doc for so long that it influenced a split personality within Doc. In a way, O’Malley is a memory of Omega

However, since he doesn't reappear, this means that they left him behind.

Nice to see the old gang. I love how a mullet is the reason for the change in caboos, make way more sense to me then pizza quest ever did.
RvB will never be what it was from 1-10 and Zero was a good effort. if they have to continue I guess this is fine. Better than having a greedy racist in the cast

@@Thanatos35 from what I’ve heard/read, it’s with good reason: he has said not great things to non white members of the company, was antivaccine, and wound up imbibing that Qanon junk.
It’s such a bummer because no one seems to capture Caboose quite the way he did. Maybe we’ll all just get over it and acclimate to his new voice.
(PS: Joel has even stated he doesn’t want to join the company again, so we’re never getting old Caboose back)

While the audio sounded a but to clean, I'm very excited to have the Blood Gulch Crew back in any capacity. Kudos to the new VAs though, they're doing their best

I like that this is both an allegory for the pandemic and the fact that Shatter Squad took over for a while. But now our favorite idiots and Freelancers of the Reds and Blues are back.
I expected Caboose to have a new VA (presumably the one from the RvB Death Battle), but I think Lopez has a new voice, too.

Carolina being very attached to pajama pants is such a nice touch to show just how much she’s grown as a couch potato

Not only is it good to have the gang back, but they've also got some good advice this time around. I got an "essential" job right as the lockdown was starting, but dealing with college has been... a process.
I love O’Malley and Doc when they talk to each other and also nice reference they have with Covid of being 6 feet away

When caboose came on screen, the “hello” shattered my heart. Thats not our caboose.
I really feel like there at the end of that PSA Michael was getting the hang of Caboose. I have the utmost faith that he will do his best to be the best caboose he can be and take care of this character that we all know and love. It just takes time to find your voice if you know what I mean? It took Joel 3 seasons to find his and Matt 2 and a half to find his for sarge. Jason and burnie just kinda use their own along with Geoff and Gus.

@@Thanatos35 I liked Joel too, don’t get me wrong I idolized the dude just for one role, but from what I’ve read he was kinda of a racist and a bigot and he just quit showing up so he left them no Choice but this is all hearsay we will probably never know the true reason why.
Out of his 3 lines, he delivered 2 really well. He has potential and I do have faith in him too. I do miss the voice filters for the helmet effect tho, without it, it makes everyone (especially Tucker) sound a bit off.

1. Joel not voicing Caboose is a little weird.. but I approve of the new voice. Kinda sounds like a higher pitch of his old voice. and 2. are Wash and Carolina living together??? ohhhhh scandaloooooooous
He sounded a bit raspier too but that may be because they didn't use any voice filters for the helmet effect in this PSA

I can say that it's thematically appropriate for Caboose's voice actor to suddenly enter the scene without the Reds and Blues making a big deal out of it.
There are many such situations where people put pressure on other people to accept changes without asking honest questions.
Obviously the two Freelancers are smart enough to say screw it and still work from home.

I love seeing wash and Carolina back keep up the good work team
disappointing that cabooses and lopez’ voice are not the same, but honestly I wouldn’t mind having a entirely new season with the reds and blues once more, because at this point, anything is better than shatter squad and wherever they were going with that. so if we can get the good rvb back with sacrificing some VAs then I’d be happy.
The recasts were definitely awkward at first, but I'm sure they'll grow into their new roles if given the time
Yeah honestly, Caboose's new VA delivered his lines pretty well! He just has a raspier voice than Joel when in character, which made Caboose sound a bit off. The new guy that does Lopez just has to practice the accent bit more but I think he did well too.
@@elvistek2062 Even Joel's Caboose during early BGC was different compared to late BGC and beyond. The new VA can definitely practice more and more and get it right soon enough.
I also definitely agree with your analysis on Lopez's new VA.
@@main.ignisha Well everyone was different at the beginning of BGC except for Church, which was Burnie just being himself, but totally agree with you. New Caboose just needs time to be great, I have faith.

So great to have the Reds and Blues back, however, here are my personal nitpicks:
- They should bring back the helmet muffling effect, shown in the previous seasons. It just seems.. a bit weird.
- Caboose has a much more higher pitch (new VA, of course) but I could get used to this.

My headcanon is because of Wash’s injury, Carolina bought a house/apartment on Chorus so that they can live there so that Washington doesn’t get a bigger headache from the Reds and Blues' shenanigans.
Thank you for keeping Caboose alive. I can get used to the new voice. But, without that _character_ RvB would just not be RvB.

I know its a joke to be like "Yea, working from home is the best way.." but then you notice actual businesses realized these ways such as using VR to have a meeting and prefer them waaaaay more than actual visits lol. Caboose's voice-changing mullet is officially one of the best moments in RvB history.

My biggest complaint isn't the VA change, it had to happen. But they need to correct the voice filters going forward. None of the voices sound right without the helmet filters.

From what I can tell, either caboose was switched out with Loco, or he just hit puberty again and for Lopez, I guess he got a new speech module but it's still in Spanish (Yes I'm aware that Joel was fired and Burnie left Rooster Teeth)

@@arjunbadeshia2893 Burnie provided the voice for Lopez. Burnie left the company, so Lopez is now voiced by someone else.

Well they're not wrong about the mullets. Even when I got my hair cut differently, it still turned back into a mullet. But I work from home permanently now, so how can I brake out of the mullet cycle?!
Jesus Caboose sounds off. No insult to the VA, but after hearing Caboose for 15+ years, its engrained on how he sounds.
I would just have replaced the character with a rookie i dont think i can get used to it lol but i love rvb. Caboose could had ventured off and become a 500 iq scientis xd
