I still remembered back in v24 when I first attempted mauler spam in bloody and quad, it was so stupidly broken for spamming with cheap price because it used to have ceramics damage. It was so good to the point that it needed minimum supports and you only upgraded all mauler to MOAB Assassin just to break BAD layer (except Quad when I had to use Downdraft to enable stalling). Nowadays, we have so many spamming strategies thanks to Geraldo and mauler is okay even though it got ceramics damage removal in v30. But let's be real, mauler spam with Striker is still the greatest spamming strategy that we all know. Not even v18 Brickell with ballistic missile and grandmaster ninja with 20 shinobi could beat out this legendary.
This works in 42.2!!! Just got it! Last map I needed to Black Border. I lost twice on Round 98 and 99 before completing so some pointers for people - Place and upgrade the Sabo before Round 98 - Then after that, and after Round 99, upgrade as many Maulers to Assassins as you can, prioritizing the left side. You'll have like 3 extra Assassins before Round 99 (4 extra by 100 I think), but believe me that helps for fortified DDT damage. I even used 1 or 2 Assassin abilities on 99 alongside stuns and sabo to help out
Still worked in v42, Only changes are alchemist being $50 more expensive but that under discount doesn't matter, even easier considering bouncing bullet got a $400 price drop so you end up saving cash anyways.
