Charming flying critter is bad because they will count as your army and get auto targetted.
So any ranged enemy will one-tap them.

charm used to be way more OP than it is now. previously when you stole a unit, you also stole all of its upgrades. so in the non reforged version, when you stole a 3/3 tauren, you would automatically research 3/3 for free, and all of your units would have it. this also worked in mirror matches, and if your opponent had better upgrades, all you had to do was charm one of their units and you automatically updated all your units to the better upgrades.

Are you sure it stole the Blacksmith/Warmill/Hunter'sHall/Graveyard upgrades? I thought it only stole the tech upgrades, like Dark Archon's Mind Control in StarCraft 1.
@@Lucius_Chiaraviglio that is exactly what it used to steal, the warmill/blacksmith/graveyard upgrades . although i do not remember well enough to remember if you stole a chimera with upgraded corrosive breath for extra damage on buildings, if that would make all your chims have that upgrade as well. but i for sure remember it stealing the armor and weapon upgrades, because i almost always went DR first hero, and i constantly got free upgrades, so i definitely remember that part.

Okie dokie, you said the idea of pretending being a creep and it reminds me about first dota, since this game had less models than dota2, so ogre-magi forest creep had the same model as a hero. So i saw how dude killed this creep at night time, run away to disable an agro and then, he standed on his spot pretending to be a creep, and he gave x3 stun multicast when someone came farming him :D
I saw a similar thing but with Centaur and centaur camp. Fun times

5:22, yes it would have been infinitely better, but Blizzard is Blizzard.
They preffered to make a marketing scheme out of it rather than remastering it as a legacy game. They only had to do some minimal updates on it, do some advertising and I'm sure they would have get some money. But they instead had to maximize their profits using a third party, no love whatsoever. The sad thing is that this will stick, I would be surprised if they rework wc3 again.

Another idea for crazy setup:
- Go Human
- Build mortars
- Destroy trees in the middle of the forest next to the enemy base
- Use zeppelin to ¨transfer¨ mortars there
- Bonus point: use Dragonhawk Riders to protect mortars from air units
I can't remember if Grubby has done this with Mortars, but he has done this for sure with some other long-range Siege Units (come to think of it, I think also Mortars).

I’m playing wc III using an old CD key linked to bnet from the early 2000s. I downloaded from bnet but dont own reforged, am I not playing on the same online servers as people who do own reforged?

Honestly - I wish all the funny builds would get buffs. I love the sudden burst of joy one gets when someone does something creative - but it often gets shot down immediately by current meta strats.
I also thought about this, but why not bring the Old Outland Gang together, Illidan, Lady Vashj and Kael'thas? Unfortunately not possible in 1v1, need to possess hu and ne.

I wonder what happens now if you steal a Kodo that is digesting one of your units. I think this used to be bugged, but a while ago I think somebody posted that it frees your unit.
When D3 came out I thought I couldn't be any more disappointed in Blizzard. I was wrong.

The ability to permanently control enemy/neutral unit is the best thing in true Blizzard games. It leads to the wildest scenarios.

@@Ebinification well he shouldn't be at the 51 food sweet spot. I think even killing an acolyte on the mine is only 20% loss compared to 30% from the upkeep. Anyway, blood castle is rarely a tryhard strategy in 1v1. It just felt weird creeping beyond lvl 5 instead of being aggressive or expanding or something
