One thing about the movie that I really love about the movie is that when Miles has his speech about disruption, it is exactly what Andi does in the final scene. When she first starts breaking thing’s people cheer her on, but as she keeps going, they stop until she breaks the thing itself(the mona lisa). Andi’s the true disruptor, while everyone else feeds into the system.
Thanks for telling The Glass Onion as a story! But I think you misremembered that it was actually Duke’s mom who solved the invitation puzzle box first. She didn’t break it. She solved it. That’s why it was open when Duke looked at it.
have i already heard it on the podcast? yes. will i watch it once again AS IF i don’t know everything? also yes, it’s miss steph telling us the story after all😩
I re-watched the first one before this one, and forgot how good it was. It always seems like the detective really lays into that southern accent drawl around people he truly suspects, almost as an act and persona to get people to underestimate him, like some of those old timey TV detectives used to. These movies are also always fun to see some actors stepping out their action superhero roles, and do really dramatic and comedic acting!
Hi Stephanie! Great video! I just want to point out that Duke's mom legitimately solved the first few puzzles to get the box opened, but probably didn't go through the entirety of it either because she had to go fetch the laundry for her grown-ass son, or she felt like this was his anyway, and she shouldn't pry into it further. Or maybe she just didn't want to anymore, which is also valid. I think it is to illustrate the irony of her son touting misogynistic ideals of how men shouldn't slow down for women, when his own mother figure out the concepts behind the puzzle box even faster than his scientist friend (who happens to be a dude). And I personally think it's also an early, soft foreshadow of how the so-called "genius" most likely isn't as brilliant as people think him to be. They put him on a pedestal (and also had to rely on him and his money), so they were extra prone to give him more credits than he is due, i.e. them reacting to the puzzle box as though it contained clever, genius level puzzles inside, when in reality, Duke's mother could've solved all of it in minutes. Not to downplay her intelligence, of course. It's more of another "Easter Egg" of a detail wherein, upon a 2nd re-watch, you can pick it up and think, "Oh yeah, he really is just an idiot this whole time, huh." Anyway, thank you for the wonderful upload!
Yeah and wasn't she the one who pointed out that N is North?? She was bored to tears and couldn't bother. Oh, and i'm pretty sure she solved another puzzle for them with a song or something. Love her!!
Stephanie’s storytelling is unmatched love you bisssss ALSO THANK YOU FOR DOING A BAM ON THIS IVE BEEN WANTING TO WATCH IT BUT I DONT HAVE NETFLIX SO THIS IS PERFECT!!!
i love glass onion but i think knives out is sooooo much betteeerr. the intensity and the curiosity of who really is the killer is soooo good with the first movie. i love how you told this story especially blanc's accent lmao
A little easter egg for you - the guy at the party who pointed out that the song was Bach when opening the puzzle box was actually YoYo Ma! He had a cameo in the movie haha
Really enjoyed the video as always Stephanie!! One thing though, Duke's mom was actually the one who noticed that the box was a stereogram and opened it before everyone else. Duke thought that it was broken but it wasn't. During the phone call, Lionel then heard Duke's mom saying that it was a stereogram.
Already watched this movie, but Stephanie Soo is UNMATCHED. Seriously fantastic Benoit Blanc impression as well as all the other characters! Also, mistermangobutt's reactions are amazing as usual 😂
As a Stephanie fan for over 3 years, it is my dream that she starts watching anime and tries to story tell it. It would be chaotic and amazing at the same time.
I love Stephanie and MMB ❤❤❤ I watch/listen to her while I’m at work. Even though I already watched this movie, I still love hearing Stephanie tell it. Especially her impersonation of Mr. Blanc. She is the best storyteller 😊😊 I’m always amazed by her memory.
Whenever she posts you know it’s a good day! I could seriously listen to this woman talk all day every day ❤ thanks for another amazing video Stephanie
I have a hard time watching movies with any kind of suspense so having you tell me what happens is perfect. I just found you and I’m burning through your videos. Many thanks 😊
Does anyone know if Stephanie is reading off a script? I always wonder because it doesn't seem like it, but she is so good at repeating the dialogue. Even if she is it doesn't matter because she really does a bomb job at it while making it seem like she doesn't read off a script. Kudos to her 👏👍
Listening to you tell stories is so relaxing to me. You have such a soothing voice. I would love to hear stories on " phishing" if you could please add it to your list. Thx Stephanie. xo
1:04:15 I love Steph's acting of Bron throughout this but especially here! She really gets into it and her enthusiasm always makes it so much more enjoyable!
Speaking of Agatha Christie, has Stephanie read/watched And Then There Were None? I've already read it like 100 times, but I'd still happily listen to her talk about it 🤭
Lmao pls keep us updated on Rian’s answers to all the burning legal n business questions post credits 😂😂. Loved this movie so much n Stephanie’s attempts at Blanc’s foghorn leghorn voice!
I think the reason they turned on him in the end was because everything blew up.His empire ended. The glass onion was his start and symbol of his power. That power was engulfed in flames. He could no longer hold anything over them as leverage. He lost, the fire won and everyone walked away. Following his words.
god i love this movie, the first and second watch on glass onion is the best thing u can do, the first watch is to watching everything unveil, and the second watch is when u realize all the things youve missed, its amazing
One of my FAVORITE parts of this movie was literally James Bond (I can't see him any other way) absolutely DESTROYING the murder mystery in a matter of a few words 😂😂 I was like DAYUM!
9 months late, but I loved this movie sooo much. I was so excited when I found this video of your retelling 😭💕 My favourite part in the beginning is the guy who tells Peg what song the music box is playing is. Because it's Yo-Yo Ma, one of the most famous cellist in the world
You look so happy doing what you do and I’m so happy for you. I hope i can find something like this too ❤️ my inspiration to keep going thanks Stephanie
Thank you so much . I enjoyed this episode so much, I needed to watch this movie because of you. And I have to say, I found it brilliant. Really enjoyed it
I love Knives Out! ❤️ You should watch the first movie cuz it's sooo good. 🙌🏻 Watching this video right now even tho I already watched Glass Onion. Hehe love your storytelling missmangobutt 💛💛💛
To answer your fiance's question, the politician already signed off on the power plant to generate klear; Lional, the scientist, already gave the go ahead at the company; and the ditz fation model;....she already signed off on the statement that would ruin her. So basically they all had to be ruined before they were willing to turn on him.
the voice acting she does for the detective is on point😂 you’ve captured it very well stephanie

Yup I also noticed lmao
If I'm remembering correctly She didn't solve it either. He solved it with everyone else on a group call
