    I know you don't have a mentor. So anything I say is never to be critical of you, I also started without a mentor. The learning curve is steep, but if you have at least a few reliable contacts and can somewhat navigate the internet and extract the important stuff from the BS you will be fine.
    Did you perform a pre treatment mite check and if so what method did you use?

      No worries. I appreciate your feedback.
      As for testing for mites, we did that the first couple of years, but we ALWAYS ended up treating regardless. My issue with testing before treatment is doubting the results, if that makes sense. I've often wondered how many beekeepers tested, decided NOT to treat and then regretted it when the hive died?
