At the height of the space race in the late 1970s, the Viking probes successfully landed on Mars - collecting pictures, data, and samples from the red planet.
It was so successful that Soviet scientists wanted their shot at glory. But their focus wasn’t on Mars. It was on its moon, Phobos; named after the Greek God of fear.
After all, if NASA could land on Mars, landing on one of its moons should be easy, right?
Well, it turns out Mars’ largest moon was right to be named after the Greek God of fear.
Because as barren as the landscape looks, as impossible as it is to live there... something does.
And that something, doesn’t want to be seen.

I remember when I was in Middle School and they were showing the film about what they believed was on Mars (they seemed to mention and show an awful lot of artwork about the canal theory) as though it was still something suspicious and yet unconfirmed exactly what Mars was like, that was in the 80s.

I’m with you on this! I started with Ripley’s believe it or not in the newspaper comics. Then a show came out of it with Jack parlance as the host from the early-mid 80’s. After that it was encyclopedia searches and then crazy books. I got lucky and found Coast to Coast on the radio in the mid 90’s and got to be on it a few times. When a short of this show popped up in my feed 4 years ago I think, I subscribed immediately. This show’s evolution is awesome.
I remember when there were only a handful of videos here... the growth and community here is pretty darn amazing, and im so lucky to get to be a part of that

He’ll just need to move his operation to the outer solar system when the sun expands and swallows the inner planets. I’m not unreasonable though. The Why Files is my fav channel. There was a war on Mars. -Not a bad name for a tune hey? Xenon 1 and Xenon 2. One of These chemicals is found in the Cosmos without any interference. The other can only be made by an atomic bomb. Or a Hydrogen bomb. And it's presence was found on Mars. Something strange !!!!
The story of Titanic being replaced by a sister ship . How a fire was burning for days before she sailed ,and it weaked the hull.
I don't know how you do it, but the alchemy used when putting this show together has made it consistently the best thing on RUclips. Please keep doing what you all do at TWF!

One thing I love about this channel is that you treat hecklefish as a friend. Usually a character like this gets “sighs” and grief from the main character - but I love how, even when hecklefish is doing his heckle thing, you talk to him the way you would someone you care for and respect, rather than someone you tolerate. It’s a nice touch that I think makes this channel more pure and not formulaic. Great writing and personalities y’all.

Please do John Hutchison and the “Hutchison Effect”. My Dad and God Father spent lots of time with him at the radio museum near my house as they were HAM radio dorks. I met him multiple times as a kid and what he talked about and could prove was truly amazing. He was on the local news and Discover Channel did a show on him in the 90’s. His neighbours would complain about stuff in their apartments levitating and flying across the room. He even made a zero point energy battery.

For example, let’s say we observe some quantity as -1. Now you can get a -1 by 2-3=-1 or by i^2=-1. So is the cause subtraction or multiplication or some other unknown cause? They result in the same quantity, but different explanations/interpretations (theories). The EU is interesting in that you can have a net zero charge in an area of space, but have massive electrical fluxes. It could explain some of the gravitational anomalies in galaxy speeds. Zero point energy is real and I’m currently researching ways to use it in MEMS and NEMS. Zero point energy may also manifest at intergalactic scales to have a similar effect on galaxy rotation speeds.

I wish u would’ve covered the story of that Eastern European/russian kid “boriska” it was a kid in the 90s who was interviewed by “project Camelot” and he convincingly claimed he was a reincarnated Martian and the history of what happened to planet mars and why it’s barren now. It was so convincing because they had to kind of get the kids attention and talk to him he seemed like he and his mom didn’t even rly want to do the interview and his story was so creative it sounded legit but who knows. I highly encourage ppl to watch it, it’s pretty crazy. I’m actually very skeptical usually but idk why he seemed like he atleast believed what he was saying
One of the things (among so many things) that make this channel so successful and better then most, is the debunking given at the end. It gives the channel credibility and intellectual honesty. Something refreshing and rare on RUclips and the internet.

It's always intriguing to consider the electric universe theory and the concept of interconnected electric currents throughout the universe. The idea of Zero Point Energy as a potential vast source of alternative energy if harnessed correctly is indeed captivating! The Martian anomalies sure do spark curiosity.

Zero point energy is 100% real. The government will never let it come out though because they make too much money from fossil fuels and our already wildly outdated electrical grid system. Same with machines that don't need a charge/fuel source, cures for our worst (most profitable) diseases, completely free, instantaneous speed wireless internet that could be accessed worldwide, and so on

Allow me to illuminate you.
Spoken language is used to convey complex thought in as quickly a way as possible. Written word only exists because spoken word. Which only exists to communicate as quickly as possible. So....
omitting letters, while still conveying the thought (which clearly it did, because you KNEW it was "supposed" to be there) is the natural evolution in human communication.
If you were as smart as you're trying to make strangers think you are, you'd realize how "wrong" most of YOUR written and spoken word is (compared to even as recent as 100 years ago)
I am really enjoying how the library of Why Files is growing to the extent that they can now link to so many of their other videos. It is becoming a rabbit hole of interconnected topics.

I think one of the most important things someone can have is the ability to have a conversation. When I am listening to this show it is as if he is right across from me. Very easy to listen to.

It’s hard to appreciate the level of immersion I go into with these episodes…
First listen is simply to get familiar with the topic…often I’m not really engaged fully, it’s like holding a book
Then a week goes by and I’ve listened many times…digest parts of humor and fact and production and wit and nuance…then another episode drops and I feel completely able to sit and just relax with it
I’m just lazy and haven’t figured out patreon, but it’s just a matter of time. This is higher quality content than almost anything on this platform
Man i love every single episode watch from this man. Specifically science and space/alien life subjects. The annunaki episode was so good and interesting.

ALLEGEDLY he's not real. The scientific community is heavily debating his existence, and further studies are needed before this question can be definitively resolved.

As much as we hate when there aren't new episodes, you deserve a break once in a while.
I think hate is too strong a term. There is plenty of other content on RUclips. Not as entertaining AND informative, but as long as the reason for the delays isn't because "somebody" made AJ and his reliable crew "disappear", I think we can all rest easy that another video is on the way.
And you cannot rush art.
You want quality over quantity. Lemmino only posts one or two videos per year.
This is hands down the most entertaining channel out there. No matter the media.

This is exactly why I promote the act of people studying deeper about the Soviet Space Program. Not only were there a lot of "Firsts", but also a lot of interesting data from many of its missions were collected. In my opinion, it doesn't make sense why the US tells us that the quote "Space race ended after we landed on the moon", there was so much more after it!

USA wasn't just soundly beaten, in the space race, they only went to the moon first. Mostly all else was the Soviet Union. And DECADES before the USA, Europe, indo-China-Pak programmes.
Exactly. They mostly did this in the 60s. Decades before the west went to Mars. The west were well & truly between in the space race. All you hear about it's the 1st to the moon. Not the first on Venus, Mars, first woman, first man, first animal... Jesus all these were done 20 or 30 years ahead of the US.
They were also done with a lot more human cost. The Soviet space program was rife with disasters.
Not that they were not impressive. Russia had a probe on the moon prior to the US getting feet on it.

I recall that many years ago that the Phobos II photos showed a missile rising from Phobos just before telemetry was lost. Tonight is the first time I'd heard it was infrared pictures and that the object image was a "glitch". I'm a kinda tired of being told about glitches so often these days. But, I like that TWF brings newer into to its stories. Amazed and surprised every week.
You just reminded me, I remember that same image also, I tend to believe the first story than the latter because it took them long enough time just to spin a new story. I don't believe anything any government says, because if they were to divulge anything about other life forms, then they would have to explain how they couldn't stop them from wiping us out.
If the photos just showed glitches, why were some held back and classified?

You are spot on with the pyramids being power plants. Most old cathedrals are also power plants. See the farther up you go in elevation the more electrified the air. However, they didn't transmit it through the air; they just harnessed it. They didn't use power lines. They used water. If you look at very old buildings, they had a weird area like a basement, but built like aqueducts. This is energy water! Err, without aspartame. Look at star forts!✴

I was made homeless this week. It's been a viscerally heart wrenching and miserable experience. So thankyou AJ and Hecklefish for uploading and brightening my day. No matter how much things change it's reassuring to know that there are consistencies and this channel is one of them for me.
