Thank you,Julia, so much for this! I have just started working on fifth position. It's a challenge. This video was full of helpful information that I can use.
This is so very helpful! You’re a very good teacher in that you are able to explain in detail the important things yet it’s simple and easy to understand. Thank you Julia! I’m also enjoying the lessons in your academy. 😊
i watch the video and then I went and listen to it , when I memorized the pitch, I did the slide exercise scale and added some rhythm in the scale , and sounds like there is a new door of sound in my belt ! Im so exited to ad this to the scale to my routine . THANKS 🙏 you are the best teacher ever!
It makes sense to me that this would still be a little hard Elizabeth. Did you see my video which is called fourth finger exercise? I think it might help you!
That is a good question Lesley. Have you watched videos about how to hold the violin? This can give you a good idea. Also watching my video and looking if the way you hold it is similar to how I hold it. If you want a violin teacher to have a look at your hold, you can also become a member of Julia's Violin Academy and send in your video, then we can check it for you!
Good explanation madam. All your videos are wonderful. One doubt . For 3rd and 5th position spacing between fingers are same or for 5th position little less than 3rd position. Also if possible can you post video in fingering position for 7th position in the similar manner like 3 and 5th position. It will be very much useful for violinist
@@Violinspiration I want to ask why are we taught these positions first? The 4th position is exactly the same note as the string on the lower string so we should know that one easier?

I have been practicing for a year and now wondering if I have the violin in the right place on my shoulder

Very helpful. Im on third position. I can get the 1st finers in 3rd but have trouble on other fingers.
Have you read my post on the third position. there are exercises and tips. Here is the link. Good luck! violinspiration.com/third-position-violin/
I am learning 3rd position and starting to shift from 1st to 3rd position but also starting to learn 5th position too.
Wonderful!🤩

@@Violinspiration Thanks so much ❤️
matur suksma
Plz mam G major scale 4th positions
Noted. Thanks for the suggestion.😊
i have blisters in my fingers while practicing shifting(and it slightly hurts when pressing the string)... is that common?
Yes, you will build some calluses after a while, then the pain will stop.
No need to press hard a little pressure is enough, test it out.

👍🏻
,🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
5th position is equivalent to 3rd finger in 3rd position.
Correct, Amanda, you would place your first finger on the position you mentioned.
@@Violinspiration I want to ask why are we taught these positions first? The 4th position is exactly the same note as the string on the lower string so we should know that one easier?
Looks painful ☹️
It sounds nice though 🙂
Haha, lol! It feels a little uncomfortable at first, but it gets better!
Im studying in the first book😂
