I watched this on tv and had to come in to comment bc this is exactly what I was going through. The in and out and feeling of knowing, the abuse, the everything you said happened. So spot on. I could really care less what happens to him or anyone involved. I told him I have nothing to say to him anymore and that's that. Omg girl 7:21 nail on the head. This is intimate and I still love my parents but I have to say this. I got frustrated bc my parents was on bald headed hoe shit once again so that led to me calling my dad out for spending the majority of his pack check on dope and us being in debt from borrowing from other friends and family members or going without. Also brought up him emotionally abusing us when he would beat my mom up and we would try to help her. He was neglectful. I knew my dad is an addict. A functioning addict to be exact. But i never said that to him directly until yesterday. My mom got super offended and started going in on me so I called her out for physically abusing me as a child bc she was over whelmed with 4 kids doing kid shit and as an adult. I still never hit her back can't bring myself to. But I called both out and they gaslit the fuck out of me. Now ig they don't fw me anymore but it's a blessing in disguise. No more toxic parents sounds good to me. I've been on my own this far and have learned to protect and take care of myself. I have supportive friends around so I'm good.

Yes this happened yesterday. Literally I was trying to get to the bottom of what the issue was , I had apologized profusely .. and weeks later (after more pressure from me towards them) they said “well I wasn’t even mad about that..” LIKE GIRL ITS BEEN TWO MONTHS ?! I was trying. To make it work off of false pretenses and that was so frustrating… like we are 30. Why didn’t you tell me before …?
