it's those moments where characters blurt out something like that - cock ups, ludicrous thoughts and passionate mistakes that makes them so human, so relatable - on other shows you have people saying the perfect thing the right time over and over and over, and that's just annoying - granted Buffy has that too, its a tv show after all (duuh) - but it works - season 6 was one tough season but they didn't half ass it or call it quits half way through the season they let us see the whole gang make mistakes and hit bottom like we all do from time to time. I love all the shit he says, but for my money the funniest Giles moment is in Season Four where he (as a demon) sees Professor Walsh, gets Spike to stop the car and jumps out of the car, runs toward her and howls at her, then runs back to his car.
