The Handle was the biggest thing to get used to for me . It took me awhile before I really really got comfortable with it. I can't tell you how many times I've had to pry the lock free but I love the damn "pop"
Them things are built for anything that comes at it bro! You can tell there was a lot of thought went into it. Probably many thoughts from many people I’m sure. It’s just to perfect not to have had. Thanks for sharing brother
Those "thumb studs" are the closed, and open position stop pins. Kinda Like on a hinderer, except hinderer uses an internal stop pin for the closed position. I love external stop pins because they really help stop lateral blade play. Great review man.
That lock was tuff with me right out the package too. I found if I opened it without flicking it open, it was manageable. But I was still tempted to get that loud click 😏 I had fun with it and it continues to give smiles to folks 😄 it's a beast for sure!
Plainly said those are not thumb studs at all. They are used solely to stop the blade from going all the way back and also all the way forth, when opening and closing the blade.
Hahahahahahahaha now there are two real reviews of a Medford praetorian T! This is why I love you brother....... Well one of the many reasons!!! Prototype we don't give a damn $800 knife we don't give a damn we are going to do real testing real world all the time!!!!! Outstanding review my friend thank you so much for doing this I am honored! And I am still indebted to Captain electro for this amazing gift!!!
A cutter like no utter!!!! Lol, cracking me up....never handled a Medford, and considering it's price I probably never will. Another great review brother!!
You can definitely tell that blade has been used! I believe it started out as a tanto blade grind and over time the use and sharpening has basically transformed it into a drop point. Still an awesome knife though!
I love my praetorians, the only one I have ever sold was like yours. It was just to slick for me. I love all of there textured handles. I just ordered a lightning cut with matching clip. My favorite so far has to be the stained glass texture.
I picked up a T in a trade, it had that "glassed" high polish. Just like you I found it too slick. I ended up chucking up a bronze brush on my drill press to remove the finish ended up with a decent orange peel in the raw gave it good grip surface still have it. This was before Greg really got into textures...I must have been crazy to do that to a $700 knife but glad I did. Now works well when wet.
Sweet blade. It may not really be worth what Greg sells them for but I want to buy one just to support a Dude I have a tremendous amount of respect for.
Greg is a pretty good guy and does stand behind his knives he will quickly tell somebody that beats the hell out of the knife and sends it back to him saying is defective. But you talk to him and tell him i use the hell out of it and it has lock stick now now and see what he would charge to fix it. I'd bet he would fix it reasonable price or maybe not charge him. We know Scab uses his knives but doesn't abuse them. Great Vid Donny.
As of right now if you were to go to war and need a fighting knife what would your knife of choice be? I know it’s a hard choice. Love your videos bro! Keep making the best reviews on RUclips!
Well, it would never be a RAT 7 haha! Taking only one, I'd probably grab my dbad War Machine. Once my Mission I is done, it's possible my mind could change.
Those are external stop pins the stop the knife when open.... I'd like to try that thing at somepoint I've heard only bad things about medford I'm not going give any opinions until I try for myself
Holy crap, I haven't heard "alive" by P.O.D. in a very long time, that was pretty nostalgic. Also when I saw you throwing a $1000 knife I was trying not to close my eyes 👀 😂 First dude on RUclips to baton a thousand dollar folder!
It's a tank of a knife, that lock-stick is a pain though, I wish they would add a lock bar insert to remedy that issue, the same thing happens on my slim Praetorian.
Very good review. That is a beast. It seems to be if you like big knives you tend to like it. If you are more into watching 100th of oz. then you don't. That does have some mean lock stick.
You should see some of Medfords fixed blades! Also if this design doesn't work well with you I'm sure that one of his many others will and they're all similarly as ridiculously overbuilt...
That is a great looking blade Aube that frame is made like that so if you get in with a sqiatchbogieman it locks up combat style .?maybe damn spell check
Thank you for the review..I APPRECIATE the honesty factor👍👍✌️❤️I'm just a beginner trying to soak up the info oh yeah and I smashed that like subscribe and share 👍👍✌️
I know that you are brothers from another mother.... But what the hell do you know about Scab, what has he done in the past to blackmail him into parting from his beloved Medford Praetorian? #22aday Stay safe everybody, and stay blessed. Greetings from Germany!
The Khukuri house says the blade sharpness on all there knifes is very sharp, rather than super sharp or razor sharp. I know this is due to the thickness of the blades. What has your experience been with the sharpness of them and ability to sharpen them?
Sorry you are holding that weird . No way a correct grip would have your fingers fold over . I have big hands and the Benchmade Bugout doesn’t even do that .
@@Damien984 yeah I know what you meant. But you said that you can't have one of these knives because it's assisted.. I was just letting you know that it is not an assisted knife, so it's legal.

I was told they were external stop pins of course after I filmed
The absolute perfect knife in all aspects.
Buy it once, have it for life.
While not my favorite, its still awesome
Good, honest review. With the price, honest reviews are hard to come by. Lots of guys will ignore things and whatnot to justify their purchase.
With the price, I won't own one. Haha

Essentially a hand axe with that wedge shape.
I Love the medford stuff for heartiness.
Some day will probably have one of the lower priced models.
The money isn't reasonable enough for me to consider one, but I wouldn't refuse it.

That lock is malfunctioning. My buddies was like that. He sent it back to Medford and it was fixed-up no charge with not much turn around time.
Yeah it could use some tweaking
