Try removing the capo and tuning down a full step from standard.
Instead of fretting the D-shape on the G&B, the open B&E are already there and will ring out longer.
The chords for the intro then would be simply; B, C#, A, E.
Fingering for these chords are;
B: x24400
C#:x46600
A: x02200
E: 022100
In the pre-chorus and chorus the C# fretting changes to x46644

Standard tuing no capo or capo on 1st fret with drop tuning. Atleast that's what he said
