- come along with me hunting for physical media around 2 carboot sales. voiced over so I can tell you more about prices and stuff.
Great find with the Freddy boxset. I owned the Region 1 boxset which was very cool. Upgraded to the german mediabooks which are great, with the exception that they dont all have individual blu ray discs. It's also my favourite horror franchise so hopefully a decent 4k set one day. Great video as always mate, arrived back in England today so hoping to hit up the booters myself this Weekend, couple of great JCVD movies, nowhere to run is awesome, think it had a European release on Bluray, I Picked up Hard Target on Blu for a couple of quid at a booter last year, you find it quite regularly in CeX too worth an upgrade 👍

I need to go to that first carboot you go to, License to Drive blu ray last week and in this one a boxset of a great 80s tv show Sledgehammer for 50p.

50p for that Boosh boxset! That's truly an absolute fucking steal. I've got the three series on individual release but I'd happily give my spleen for such a bargain. I see someone has already asked but if you wanted to sell it at a reasonable price I'd be more than happy to haggle with you. Feel free to send it to me as a freebie for being such a fun, friendly wealth of cinematic knowledge as well, Tony, and I'd possibly erect a statue in my front garden in your name. Admittedly it'd probably get vandalised when people found out you watched some controversial film back in the day but hey, what can you do? Great show though with a superb visual style and a whole host of memorable characters and songs. Julian Barrett is the other guy you're thinking of and he was recently in a film called Mindhorn which was a hugely underrated comedy I personally really loved. Other famous faces include Rich Fulcher, Matt Berry, Alice Lowe and Richard Ayoade the latter of which has directed two superb films himself with Submarine and The Double. The show's director, Paul King, has himself garnered much praise with his debut film Bunny and The Bull and, moreso, with the absolutely charming Paddington films. I can't imagine they're high on your list of favourite movies if you've not seen them (Maybe your daughter has seen them!?!) but they're both examples of 'kids films' that are way to good for just kids and, like Boosh, have a really lush visual flair reminiscent of Wes Anderson.
Anyhow, I'll not bombard you with any more trivia but I will say Hard Target is available on Bluray. Picked it up in a deal from HMV years back with a handful of other JCVD films. Always enjoyed it with some great action, Lance Hendrickson and, lest we forget, that infamous snake scene!
Look after yourself anyway, Mr Tony, and I'll no doubt be back soon. What do you think of Arrows latest announcements? I'm a bit gutted Mallrats is US only but I'll definitely be picking up some titles ...

Horror in TOJ Not anymore. Used to be on Facebook for years but I started getting too addicted and found it was taking over my life not to mention affecting my mental health. Ultimately things got really uncomfortable when Rik Mayall died and I joined an online community. He's always been my lifelong hero and I did meet some great people as a result but as time passed I started seeing more of this toxic behaviour that's sadly so prevalent these days and decided to deactivate my account and, in time, totally delete it. My only sadness is that in doing so I lost loads of my creative writing including short stories and poems ...
... anyhow, I've never liked Twitter (Too few characters!) Instagram (Hate photos of myself) and whatever else is all the fad these days. But I've always watched a RUclips and it was there I was recommended all manner of channels until I found yours amongst the horror community and subscribed to a bunch of them. And it's really rewarding to watch and comment on them, especially those with a penchant for more offbeat, cult cinema and horror.
I'm more than happy to share my email though and exchange addresses so I can contact you easier should I have another opportunity to share old films or the like with a dedicated fan. Just let me know if you'd like.
