I had the same problem as others trying to launch ESF this way, it always opened Sven co-op instead, but what I found out was when I changed the video options from normal to widescreen at 1080p ESF started working. So maybe it has got something to do with that? Anyways happy that I can finally play the game of my childhood for funs :)

por lo que entiendo , en las propiedades a cambiar tenés que cambiar la primera barra a donde tengas instalado el steam.exe en tu computadora (seguido de -applaunch 225840 -game esf que esta en la descripcion). Despues en al segunda barra de propiedades a cambiar tenes que poner la ubicacion del svencoop como ya hiciste antes buscando la ubicacion de tu steam

Not exactly, the Half-Life engine has limitations this download of ESF can't run on. This version has a lot of secrets and characters that just don't work on Half-Life. Also, for some people they cannot afford Half-Life, so with Sven they can play ESF for free!

hey John, hmmm i think the issue could be 1 of 2 things. 1)The 'Target' field in properties -- make sure it's the path to your Steam.exe & has the -applaunch 225840 -game esf after it. Without that it will just open Sven Coop. 2) The ESF folder in Sven Coop -- The ESF folder has to be right there in the Sven Coop folder or it will open Sven, because it can't find the ESF files. It would look like this "Steam/steamapps/common/Sven Co-op/esf" then alll the esf files will be in that folder. I hope this helps, if there's anyway you can send me screen shots I'll take a look!!

Sure thing try this out dude, In Console : You have to type sv_cheats 1 in the console then type restart. Then type -- powerlevel X (x - the powerlevel you want to have)
this is a different ESF mod pack from the original on half life. This is only compatible with sven coop because it's more stable, half life will crash with all of these esf characters and effects!

Your Target field may have an error. Make sure this is exactly the same after the Steam.exe in Target: -applaunch 225840 -game esf If you're sure you did that right and it still opens sven. @mostafa alattar Same here. Flat out says "Target is not valid" yet followed the instructions to the letter.
It goes to base Sven Co-Op for me but it still shows the ESF symbol at the bottom of the title screen, starting up anything crashes the game.
