Bob Todd was brilliant! He lived in Tunbridge Wells whilst I was there. Would occasionally see him in the town and people would shout "It's beef!", he would gently smile and wave, taking it all in his stride without a murmur :-)
I saw Bob Todd in pantomime at the Jeanetta Cochrane theatre in Holborn in the 70s. He was down in the audience bashing kids over the head with a loofah! 😊
I didn't actually believe what I was hearing. A former colleague used to use the same line but rather more to the point. He reckoned he got his face slapped about 50% of the time and 50% a straight yes. Of the 50% that slapped his face he reckons 10% eventually came round and stated any sales an would be happy to covert 60% of cold calls. Having seen him in action I believe every word. If you are reading this Len, how's you strike rate now we are in our 70's? 😂
God, they were so rude. “I suppose a Donald is out of the question?” Cockney rhyming slang. Donald Duck, rhymes with f**k. And hardly anyone in the audience reacted...
When the world was a wonderful mad place, thanks to Spike.
He was an absolute genius - thanks for bringing the precious gift of making us laugh......
Absolute lunacy. Just what we expected from Spike
Rest in Peace
You were a comedy genius
What a fantastic pair of knockers Julia had. Wonderful.

Spike was so far ahead of his time, that this will be hilarious in 10,000 ++ years ...
A little Goon humour always sneaks in Spike's other sketches. Love it! 🤣
Absolutely brilliant, and still fresh, futuristic, and one million times better than the tripe that's shown now on TV as entertainment,, 'sorry tripe'

Brilliant in it's way.
I struggle to find even classic comedy all that funny these days, but this is still streets ahead of recent 'comedy' IMO.
You didn't book any chairs!❤❤😂😂😂😂
Old Bob...such a hoot in many guises! To be a scapegoat without complaining ...
and often without teeth
Brilliant. I notice that the camera and floor crew were the only people who got the 'Donald' reference from Bobb Todd.
Yeah I got it and spat my coffee 😂
@@macpdm Me too.
Read the script!

A Donald out of the question, ? Donald Duck =
Bob Todd defected, Checkpoint Charlie style, from the Benny Hill Show to the Q series.. him and Spike on one show is just too much!!
Bob took it like a man.
I suppose a Donald is out of the question?
0:55 😭 I didn’t do it!
Any chance of a Donald lol.

Who wrote the music at 0:00?
'The way to the stars' by Nicholas Brodszky.
Who is the bald guy?
The legend that is Bob Todd, probably the only man mad enough to keep up with Spike!
