What I really want is to use my PlayStation portal on my jailbreak ps4. That would be amazing.
I'm not sure why are they even fixing these exploits on the Portal. So many more people would actually buy the device if it could run custom code. It's not like it lets you run current gen pirated games.

Now, if I could run, from the PSN store even ps2 and below I'd consider it.
And yes, if I could run Genesis, Snes, Nes etc on a hacked one I would. "Pirating" games you have purchased literally tens of times is not even morally off white, let alone grey.

Hence the price continuously dropping. Adding the ability to use it on the go to play pong would be an improvement. PSP, Vita, game n watch literally anything would increase the value.
If you can afford a PS5 you can afford a second TV with a bigger screen than the portal.

I don't know about other people, but I personally don't like using Itemzflow on the PS4 or PS5 unless it's a must to run backups - I prefer the original game menu as it's more cleaner and looks less cumbersome.

You can use fake DLC with legit copies of your games, but updates need to be fake if the latest doesn't run on your firmware.

You may need to uninstall the game and update. Then start again- install game, install correct update.

Hooking up your Lan cable to transfer files is the single best thing you can ever do for a jailbroken PS4, even if it takes a whole day to figure out how to set it up correctly.
Modded warfare really needs to do an in-depth tutorial on how to do this because it's so important.

however, there are models of ps4 that you can't jailbreak even if your firmware is jailbreakable not unless you're on fw 9.0 or below..
Untrue, these are OS exploits not hardware exploits. The most common reason you see people going "this doesn't work on my hardware" is because they aren't doing it correctly not because it doesn't work. Especially with the PPPWN because it's not an instant break unlike some of the others, it doesn't overflow sometimes meaning you can't send the payload.
This doesn't mean it won't overflow, it will, it's just not a guaranteed first try.
The exploit in PPPoE is agnostic to hardware meaning it will work on all network controllers in a PS4 as it has nothing to do with them.

If I take all the fuel out of your car it doesn't matter if it a petrol or a diesel engine you will eventually come to stop because of it.
It doesn't matter on the type of engine the problem is the same.
The same is true of this exploit, it's the network stack that is being attacked not the network chipset, it is agnostic.
Like I said it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. Some machines take a long time for the exploit to trigger for others it takes one go, after a reboot it might take 30 times on the machine that took one try previously.
It's an OS based attack not a hardware one, this isn't something like Fuse for Switch that attacks a hardware entry point it is entirely within the OS. It is a software vulnerability not a hardware one.
Even different PS4s from the first to the currently produced use the same OS even if they use different hardware.
Attacking a software vulnerability in Windows, doesn't matter if you are on Intel, AMD or some other x86 / ARM or other CPU, as long as the kernel stack you are vectoring is identical the same attack will function. It's only when there are differences will it make a difference to if the attack will work.
This is not the case with the PS4, that network stack is identical across all the compilations of BSD, it's why the stack exploit was patched in normal BSD years ago. This CVE is identical to the one in BSD 8 through 11, which is what the PS4 and PS5 OS is based off.

The question is how long, not if it will.
This is a software exploit not a hardware one. It attacks the network stack to overflow it. In the same way removing the fuel stops the car PPPWN overflows the PPPoE stack in the OS.
This allows the entry point for the secondary payload, some machines might break 1st time and then after a reboot need 30 to break.
As I say it is agnostic of hardware, it's not a hardware based attack and the OS is the same across ALL revisions of the hardware.

I personally think we would have a better chance if we'd focus on downgrade angle rather than finding a new vulnerability which will definitely take a lot more time because with each update its harder to find a vulnerability; almost all of those who missed the 11.00 jailbreak perviously were on 11.00 or below and now are on 11.02 or 11.50 (if they only update once and not multiple times) so finding a loop-hole or maybe even a easier method or crafting better tools in the downgrade process might just be the game changer that we're all looking for

Running emulators on a PS Portal is kinda pointless cause u can literally acquire an Android device with more power and just run ur retro games in them, lPortal has not much resources, not a good enough CPU or GPU, not much of an storage, i mean, if someone buying portal to run roms on it he may either be, ohhh nevermind u get my point
