I agree that Pete Buttigieg would make for a great politican in Switzerland. However, he would not be made to be elected into the Swiss government. In Switzerland if you want to be elected as an executive member of its national government, you need to be some boring uninteresting politician that no one has ever heard of and that is moldable to whatever policy the majority supports. So he would be unfit for that job. But he would be great at being some awful, smooth-talking center-right MP who constantly says that the people should vote against any kind of expansions of the welfare state or progressive economic policies because it would "hurt the economy" and that "we cannot afford it".
