- Happy St. Patrick's Day / St. Paddy's Day! Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham have been a staple of fictional food since the beginning, so learn how to make your own and astound friends and family! Ok maybe you won't astound them, but they'll definitely go "ooooh" at least once.

INGREDIENTS
Baked Ham
Eggs
Green Food Coloring
Cooking oil
To prepare your ham, submerge it in a pot of water and mix food coloring. The ham will soak up the color over the course of 30-45 minutes.
To prepare your eggs, crack your eggs and separate the yolks from the egg whites in two separate containers. In a ramekin or small bowl, pour water and mix in green food coloring. Add your yolk into the food coloring mixture and let soak for 10-15 minutes. Remove carefully with a sieve, blotting away any excess liquid.
Heat a pot with oil across the bottom on medium heat. Pour a small amount of eggwhites on top to make the base of the egg, then add your green egg yolk on top. It will help to have one hand on the pot handle at all times so you can control where the egg whites and egg yolk move when adding them.
Once the bottom of the egg white is browned, remove the egg from the pan and continue cooking more if desired.
When your ham is colored, drain the water and dry excess liquid. Place in an oven at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes just to warm it up, remove, then serve with your eggs!

This is probably the first green eggs and ham recipe that is actually accurate and is properly done.

They are doing it in traditional animation. I love the amount of love and care they put into this show. I could not stop watching the restaurant scene with Sam talking to Guy I have watched the show 12 times it is that good.
My elementary school served us green eggs and ham 🥚🍳🍖for lunch and we would celebrate the entire day. They still do this because my son who is in 2nd grade told me they recently did the exact same thing. They celebrate Dr.Seuss Birthday which I believe is March 2nd

In my school, they did regular colored ham with eggs and green food dye, and they were scrambled. Along with the scrambled eggs, was spinach inside. It was surprisingly delicious.

WOW!!!! I've always wondered what green eggs and ham would really looked like in real life, when I was in kindergarten my teachers made scrambled green eggs and ham but I thought it was a failure then I attempted myself but didn't turn out well, so thank you guys for making it.

But I think the broth is sorta like the shoyu or dark miso broth like they use for ramen, but with rice and vegetables if you've seen the scene from the movie when the Aunt was feeding the kids.

When I was in preschool, we had a stove-top in our classroom and the teacher tried to make green eggs and ham. She had the eggs cooking and we watched as she dropped in the green food dye after starting to scramble the eggs. When the dye hit the pan, it all went wrong. Smoke began to come out of the pan, the smoke detector went off, and she was standing on a chair fanning the smoke detector with a paper plate telling us it was okay (since half the class was screaming and crying). Ah, memories. That's one of the few things I remember about preschool. XD
