Thats so fun, Jysk is a danish brand and their stores is just everywhere here in Denmark and is just a household name ☺️ It’s called Jysk because Lars Larsen who founded the company is from Jylland/Jutland in Denmark and jysk is the danish dialect spoken in Jylland (and it’s said that people from Jylland are very good at bargaining prices, so it’s always just been a very budget friendly company/brand) And so cool that they now have stores in so many countries ☺️🙌🏼

I actually work for JYSK in Denmark, i have been both in store and now at the Head Quaters. Its so exiting to see other nations loving our work🌸
Just a few fun facts:
1st JYSK store to ever open was on Silkeborgvej, in Aarhus. And its still there
We just celebrated 40 year anniversary last year
We have just over 3000 stores in 51 different countries, and about 25.000 employees.
Lars Larsen, the founder of JYSK, passed away last year, so it is now his son Jacob that owns the business.

I can highly reccomend to work here. JYSK has been declared as the employer of the year in Czech rep. and Slovakia in the last three years. ;)
I worked at Jysk for four years in Norway, and its so wierd to me seeing people outside scandinavia buy from there, but i love seeing it!
yeah or being excited buying stuff from there. I mean I mean my bed is from there and pillowcases, duvets, pillows etc but sometimes I feel like it's more of a necessity to go there.

Okay I'm confused and annoyed! 😂 In Denmark Jysk has become a somewhat "tacky" brand and is more or less a place for beddings and towels. But clearly they have stepped up their decor items, we just don't have them in stores here. But I'm defintely gonna keep an eye on them now!

Certainly not “tacky”. JYSK sells items from the very cheap to the very expensive.

I was especially excited about this haul, as I know jysk from back home in Norway! It's just a shame that they don't have any stores near London...

Really fun to watch this! As from Denmark this is a discount store, where mostly it is students and lower class people buying trinkets and decor from there - except beds, duvets and pillows. The founder was called "Duvet Larsen" as "Larsen" was his last name. It is an older chain, so untill recently it was only adults and older people shopping there as they grew up with it, but as they have updated their brand and stores more young people are starting to see the value in shopping there too. Just some fun facts.

I love Jysk. Such original items. I have 2 x concrete heads too. One for the living room and one for my teen boys room. I also have the ABBAS plant pot with faces on.

We have a Jysk in almost every medium sized town in Denmark and the items they sell are both good quality and affordable! I think its safe to say that you will find Jysk items in practically every home in Denmark. Some of their best items are bedding, pillows and duvets (blankets? Bedspreads?.. The thing you put a cover on!😁).
The first Jysk (then called "Jysk sengetøjs lager") opened in the early 80s by a man called Lars Larsen, who over the years became a sort of "national treasure" and was known for his kind of "goofy" advertising and also for being an honest, down to earth, succesful business genius, who made a point of being very approachable for all his employees and customers - "high and low". Sadly he passed away not long ago.
its funny and actually really nice (patriotic pride?🤗❤️) to see a Jysk haul on youtube. Even though I know there are Jysk shops all over the world now, to me Jysk is still a very danish "local" feeling thing☺️
Anyway, enjoy Jysk shopping, its 100% safe, full of cool, practical and comfortable things to create lots of "hygge"!👍🏼🇩🇰

I just moved to Denmark and found out about this place and I’m so happy... because the things are so beautiful, stylish and cheap. At least cheaper from Ikea ,that I find a bit expensive here (if I confront with IKEA in Italy and Greece) 🤷♀️

Uve never heard of this Store so I went online and checked it out pretty kool selection you bought. I liked the soap holder and cup but I thought the plastic pump spoilt it abit. I was looking for dried flowers and the ones you bought are very pretty but I would need loads maybe 6. 👏

I’m in Canada, and after watching, I ran to my local JYSK, only to find that they had none of the cute items featured in your video. The furniture is the same as the Uk, but all the small decor items are still way behind. WTF Canadian JYSK? Are we not worthy? 😫

You allmost got me proud, Jysk is Danish. If yoy split up Denmark in 3 parts, the biggest one is Jylland (Jutland) and the shop is from Jylland, and therefore "jysk". The very first shop, that the founder Lars Larsen startet, was actually in my hometown Aalborg. Lars Larsen sadly died last year, so his son has talen over the shop. So glad to see an english decor vlog, I Will see lot more, I promise you. Best wishes Lili from Denmark 🥰
