Thank you. I have had my bobbin winder a long time and didn't know it had to be oiled. It has always done a great job of winding the bobbins. Oiled mine today and will continue oiling every 7 or so bobbins. Again, thank you very much.
This is the best info/video I have found for the bobbin winder. I have had my Gammill a year and did not realize you could make these small adjustments on the bobbin winder. Thanks so much for taking the time to make (and share) these very helpful videos. Sandra
Thank you for your informative video. I purchased my winder a year ago, and it had no instructions. Fortunately, it came threaded. The other day little hands messed with, and I wasn't sure if I was rethreading it properly. From the beginning it has filled the bobbin unevenly so I just guide it with my finger. It's nice to know of other ways to complete that task.
I'm glad I found your video! 1) I thought this winder was MUCH smaller than it is. Size isn't a problem, but you've saved me a shock. It was very informative. 2) I was curious about the adjustments that could be made. 3) I have a soft spot for McKinney, Texas. ❤️
Does the motor on the bobbin winder have motor brushes like the Gammill motor? If so at what point do you change them out. Thank you for such great information, I never knew it had to be oiled, I oiled mine yesterday and just wound a bobbin today & black splatters came out onto my ironing board where my winder was sitting, is that normal? Dora
The black splatters are normal. The first time you use it after you oil, make sure to have a paper towel close to the oil hole, so you can catch the oil. Yes there are motor brushes. They are very small and under a black screw on back of motor. You only need to replace them if your motor starts to get sluggish. If its working fine, you are good.
I would try attaching a small piece of batting or foam at the top of the thread post (silver pole) to keep the slack off the thread. Sometimes when it is winding off the spool it bounces around and snaps. Hopefully that helps:)

Lea Hernandez you are welcome:)
Excellent video!
Thank you so much for this video!
Thanks a lot
Where are you putting that one little drop of oil? I couldn't tell from the video.
Lori, it is on the shaft behind where you would put the bobbin on. You will see a small oil there, just put one drop in.
Great information Diana! Thank you for sharing. :)
Thank you!!!!
Is this setup for sale or did you make it?

Why does my thread keep breaking at the little eyelet before it goes through the tension? Tension is loose.

Where do I find it ? Or how do I made it? Pleaseeeeeee help me?
