- Hey guys. Welcome back to another monthly update on what has joined my movie collection. This November has been an absolutely epic month for new editions so for the first time I've had to split the video up into 2 parts. In Part 1 I showcase all the glorious premium editions that turned up this month, as well as a selection of cheapo DVDs and Blus, 4K titles and steelbooks. Over in Part 2 you'll see all the Special Label titles, beautiful box sets and a very cool German Bust edition that's been on order for well over a year. Your excitement and enthusiasm for the quality of the premiums is contagious. That se7en set is fantastic.
Right? I'm not a collector of films in any way- I gave away all my DVDs a decade ago. I believe the only physical media I own at this point is the Universal Studios Monsters collection blu ray set. But his enthusiasm is so apparent, I can't help but watch and appreciate. I've watched his collection tour video at least 6 full times since he released it earlier this year. I'm a collector of books; so I can relate on a base collector level.

Some awesome sets especially casino which is my favourite of the bunch. Just wish I had the space for them big sets, my man cave is near bursting point 🙈

Wow the seven and alien sets are beautiful. My favourite boutique labels are plain archive and nova media for their Asian film releases. One of my favourite releases was the budblu edition of a bittersweet life. You’re room tour video is one of the best videos on RUclips.
Appreciate you saying that dude, cheers 👍 I've always admired Plain Archive but more recently they've branched off to books and screenplays instead of giving newer indie and foreign cinema the love it deserves which is a little disappointing for me. Another great video Mark. Will be watching part 2 after work 😁. I picked up that filmarena Alien embossed fullslip myself, and like you i was blown away when i saw it in hand..its just stunning. The Midsommer 4k from Italy is definatley worth picking up mate, the slip for it is so cool, with some slight embossing and spot gloss on it, which you cant tell from most pictures, as a collector you will love it. Its also a 3 disc edition and has a cool postcard included, hope that info helps sway you😁👍
Thanks Adam. Yeah that Alien is just stunning. It really is. Congrats on adding that one to your collection bud. It's a showpiece for sure and the movie in 4K looks amazing too. And yeah, Midsommer... I think now after watching the local release I'd be happy to grab the Italian edition. It does sound pretty cool the way you describe it. Sucks Amazon Italy don't ship to Australia anymore so importing from Europe has become a little harder so I really have to like an edition to hunt it down. Maybe in a future video I'll get to showcase it. Thanks again for watching 👍

What movie have you had to re-buy or double dip the most?
For example, I imagine you have a baker's dozen worth of Batman & Robins
How many copies of alien do you need, the comic book is the only thing I would be interested in, as I have alien on vhs and DVD already.
hah yeah i picked up Dark Age a few months back and after watching it i was reading that the film was never released in Australia because the Australian Distributor went bankrupt before the release date, so it wasnt until October 2011 that it was actually released, pretty interesting stuff though, glad Umbrella got the rights to release a Blu-Ray of it though, they did a great job on it.
Haha really? I did not know that. Very interesting dude. Thanks for the info. Might explain why none of my Aussie friends ever really spoke about it. Yeah the local Umbrella release had a great transfer on it. I think that might be the youngest I've seen John Jarratt in a movie.

I wish i had a group of friends like you or at least a whatsapp group with collectors showing real interest in buying the same things, sharing postage and sharing information of what’s new around the world 😔
The collecting community is full of great people, dude... I met them all through different Facebook groups, Hi Def Ninja and other collectors forums. It took time to develop the trust and the relationships but it's definitely been worth it.

Another excellent video Mark and really love the alien maniacs box im goin to have to track down Covenant, Prometheus and Alien Maniacs next year, my all time favourite movie and film series. Ive always wondered since u love to display ur editions out of the boxes for allot of them, what do u do with all ur boxes, u must have quiet allot.
Im also very dissapointed that McFarlane have stoped the LE walking dead sets they were amazing.
I also recommend watching The new feature length doco - Mark of The Beast: The Legacy of the Universal Werewolf its such a great new doco in the American Warewolf set.
Cheers Brett. Yeah all those Bust boxes start to pile up. Some have great artwork on and it would be great to display them too but they're so big there's just no room for them. I keep most of them in the spare garage for now. Once I run completely out of room I plan to convert that garage to increase the floor space down there. I guess when that time comes I'll have to find somewhere else for the boxes. I could always fold them down if needed. Cheers for the tip on the Arrow features. One night I'll smash the movie and the features to see if I can learn anything new from it. I did a piece on American Werewolf for one of my courses at Uni. I don't think there'll ever be a better werewolf movie for me. I love it.

Hi mate. Great video as always and love the new additions. I'm a big Back to the Future fan and wondered if you knew of any special editions coming out for the 35th anniversary apart from the 4K ones. Thanks.
Cheers FabMike. No word yet on any super cool limited editions for the 4K trilogy but there has been some rumblings that premium company HDZeta might be releasing a premium One Click box set for them when the 4Ks are released. They did amazing work on the original Blade Runner and Nolan's Bat trilogy. They've also just announced Shawshank Redemption and are doing the original Batman movies as premium releases so it seems very likely that a box set for Back to the Future might be in their future 😁

Nah mate... never. I still have my original Turtles cartoon videos from when I was like 6. I've still got Home Alone - the first movie I ever bought myself with my own money. I've never sold a single item from the collection and I hopefully never will. I doubt there's many collections in the world that can say they have every single item from the very beginning so holding on to them is important to me. I'd rather sell furniture and make room in other areas of the house than sell bits of my collection. Plus I've got a backup plan for when the cave gets completely full... I can convert one of two garages that will open up that man cave even more so I'm very lucky I have options to expand 👍

No worries man. When I first started these videos I used to put the links in the description to where I got everything from but it took so damn long and no one really commented that it helped them so I stopped doing it. Thanks man. On average i'd say around 40. Minimum 1 a night and then between 3 to 5 spread between Saturday and Sunday evenings.
What movie would you like to see in steelbook form. Mine would be sleepers favourite movie
Sleepers is a great movie. I want Short Circuit 2 to get the love it deserves. The first movie has a steelbook, so should the sequel.

I'm trying to combat consumerism and you have a room full of things.I don't know why people think it's healthy to get satisfaction or happiness from things.
I'm trying combat negative comments on my videos but unfortunately some do sneak through. If this is how I choose to live my life, and spend my money, who are you to judge?
