Today we combine our love of building, flying, and designing into a fun episode that you can do at home or in the classroom. For over five years, flite test has worked hard to bring aviation into schools. Today we have over 10,000 students actively participating in FT STEM. Just a year ago, we introduced a new product that enable students to learn how to build, fly, and engineer their own RC aircraft. The FT Tenet was born and has been one of the most popular aircraft we have released to date. Today we are taking all the feedback we received from both community and educators to create a V2 built out of a brand new more durable foam material. We also decided to include 2 complete fuselage configurations which enables you to build and fly two airframes with just one kit. Today we put the final touches on this design while holding a fun design build off to see who can get the most creative with the FT Tenet.
Model aviation is an incredible tool to both educate, inspire, and connect. Our goal is to make that experience as fun and engaging as possible.

I used to be an RC snob.... Balsa, fiberglass and carbon fiber planes... No foamies ! Until I flew a couple of them.... They are affordable, replaceable and very fun to fly and crash. Keep up the good work ft and thanks for sticking up for the hobby.

Having resilient foam helps the newer people spend more time in the air and less time building/fixing. Great to see Flite Test moving into a foam that helps people fly more often.

got a mini guinea pig a few years back, never finished it, but used the ESCs, Servos, and receiver for a bunch of projects since. definitely a great path to entry into the hobby
Im getting back into the hobby lately. I love the tech that offers a-lot more building opportunities. It has helped me to appreciate the time saved and what it takes to build by hand, ruler and razor blade.

Great builds! Gotta hand it to the David again for his biplane design. That thing is awesome.Great work everybody! I love to see design challenges. I'd like to see some more videos akin to the old chair plane challenge or the bush plane spot landing challenge. Oh, you could even recreate the Patey/Red Bull Dubai landing.
Would love to see a video where you talk a bit about DIY hotwire cutting, especially now that you're going to be using this new foam more.

Yet another great video. I did an article on the Tenet...I love that plane. It flies so well and is so durable. Every once in a while an airplane design proves to be really excellent, sort of beyond what you might expect. That is the Tenet. Thanks again.
My favorite is the biplane! Love it! Oh and I'm still looking forward to ordering that new twin-boom Flerken with the floats when it comes avaialble.

Myself as well. I'd like to see landing gear for the Flerken.
I want a version with the double wing angled. I like biplanes. Maybe even with a dual motor. Or the option to do dual motor on the wings, and one motor on the fuselage. I have so much stuff laying around from planes. I crashed, that I can build it with the stuff that I have. Just need the foam. I work with a youth group, that I think would like this kind of stuff to build together.

Would you guys do a pine or balsa plane? Also would love to see you guys do a challenge. Like making a plane that can carry the most weight or smallest plane you can build and fly. I think it would be cool to see a plane the size of a micro drone

I miss the old-school yellow foam recycled meat tray planes. I want to see you go to the Grocery and buy some beef, chicken and pork, have a barbecue and use the foam trays and build some planes!

Hey there! So I'm 15 and I build 2 FT EZ plane in school and I loved it!! I really want to get into this hobby and I was wondering what the best kind of begginer plane would be. I'm looking for a plane that is basic but is fast and has good manuvarability, I would fly at parks and a farm. I would appreciate it so much if you could help me out! Thanks!!

i might need to take a closer look at the 3d printed version and redesign it for a pixhawk. that is 1 very nice looking design and building a wing with a 3d printer is not all that difficult. pixhawk needs a lot of space so building bigger is better

Hello, someone, the Flite Test Mighty Mini Fw 190 plane comes with a remote control or you have to pay separately for them to send me a professional one?
Does anybody know what the sweep angle is on the speed wings for the biplane? I assume it's a modified sport wing with with the sweep cut out of the center sections. It looks to be 12 to 15 degrees each side to me. Also what is the cord width of the sport wing? Any comments?
