Folks gotta stop paying secondary market prices. They’re barely worth it for the price the company sets them at originally. I stick to flagship Update. I found a Walmart restock on Hangers - $12.97/ea and they give u a good smattering of blue + purple foilboards, royal blues, numbered golds & love how there’s 3 tiers to the yellow inserts (yellow/foil/crackle /50)
Not worth $500? Not even worth $200! Thing is...those damn patch cards makes people lose their minds. The ceiling is ridiculously high but you have to get insanely lucky.
I never purchased a box for this much money. I am curious, how does one feel after opening a box like this? $500 for me is a big hit & might make me think about buying a 2nd box.
I would feel like I got kicked in the nuts after that. They are out of control with these prices, even if you hit some great card you would have to sell it to even break even so what is really the point anymore? Its not even collecting its straight up gambling now.
Makes me feel I should have got just a couple hobby boxes instead. I spent almost $500 on the regular 2024 Topps chrome jumbo and all 3 autographs were garbage. I did get a nice Shohei Ohtani /150 Blue Refractor, but that was my only decent hit
Rough box, especially at the price point. Fanatics/Topps is just pricing collectors out at this point. The jordan wicks is nice though. He was cubs 1st round pick a couple years ago and was a top 100 prospect. Had an inconsistent rookie season though
Brutal box! I’m sure they’ll be some banger boxes for you, but for someone who can only afford 1 or 2 of these I’d be upset with that result. I’m staying away from this product. Also saw a few videos with some real QC problems as well. Best of luck!
Seen a couple rips of Jumbos and not a single one has been worth it. I know the ceiling can be pretty high but no way Id buy this even if I could afford it
There were 651 players that logged at least 1 AB, and 855 pitchers that appeared in games, which makes 1,506 players. So I think you’re underestimating the size of the player pool by a lot. Note that those are actually both lows since 2020!
I'm expected to pay $500 for that !!! I understand that every box can't be good but Topps should, at the very least, put something of some value in every box. For an extra $20 I can buy 4 boxes of Leaf "Trinity" or "Electrum" and get 16 or 20 autos !!! And for those who say the cards are unlicensed: I don't see unlicensed "Wemby" cards any less valuable !
So far all jumbo boxes I have seen open have been dismissal compared to the Stadium Club box I opened. And it only cost $150. My autos were definitely better. Jabs, did you hear about the billboard put up near Pirates stadium? It's calling for the sale of the team to anyone willing to build a winning team.
They only sold out because they want to control the market. Shops are paying people to buy them up then the shops are buying them from the people and controlling the market. It will ruin the hobby. I talked to topps and fanatics about it and they said there's nothing they can do about it.
Only drawback to Chrome Update is sticker autos. For the MLB Debut Patch cards - wish they’d have the rookies wear patches for their 1st week in the Bigs that way they can do Patch cards /10 then do a gold patch on their first ever game for a 1/1. But even w/250 patch cards, with them being 1/1, it’s not a realistic chase card even if you’re breaking a case. Brilliant idea though, just another example of how Topps products are so much better than Panini…
I can't understand the hype on this product. Hobby boxes seem a little better, but overall this product is way overpriced. Sure, the debut patches are sweet, but that doesn't justify the price
Uhhhhhh Topps…… what are we doing here with sticker autos? They were so proud of everything being on card for the Chrome release, now they sneak stickers into a product that costs more and has less cards? Oh yea - Chrome had 13 cards per jumbo pack, this is just embarrassing to be honest. When I saw “mega boxes” for $50 that in reality are 28 card blaster boxes, knew this could be a rough release
Sticker autos of crapper rookies in a $500 box is embarrassing. Made possible by the stupidity of people who can't control their financial spending habits.
All of the box openings of this product across You Tube have all said the same thing. Horrible spacing, rough cut edges, no name autos and very few good numbered cards. Not a great product. Priced $400 too much.
I've lost $200 cash once and it took me a LONG time to get over that. I can't imagine losing $500 like what I just witnessed. Ouch!
You gotta learn to be more like Elsa and just let it go.
Way to ruin the vid for everyone!!! Good for u man
Maybe in a few years that Kyren Paris auto will be worth alot😂
$500 Box... $17.42 worth of cards : )
Lol

That's brutal. I was considering getting a box but the few videos I've seen tonight have changed my mind.
Same here. I may get a regular hobby box instead now
Same here. I was going to order 1 hobby and 1 jumbo, but I’m not feeling good about getting a jumbo with the multiple videos
Yeah these are absolutely garbage
Over printed to the moon
This is horrible
I love topps update but MANNNN… these are not worth $500 I’m sorry Ima have to pass and buy singles :(
Yeah, it’s not even really worth $50
Not worth $500? Not even worth $200! Thing is...those damn patch cards makes people lose their minds. The ceiling is ridiculously high but you have to get insanely lucky.
All the jumbo hobby unboxing I've seen have been brutal.
That was bad. Suddenly not looking forward to receiving my boxes tomorrow
How was it?
I've seen 2 jumbo's opened and they weren't even worth 100 dollars.
500$ for 3 sticker base autos of pitchers and like 2 numbered cards. Ill stick to the singles lol
Sad to see Fanatics ripping off so many people with overpriced underwhelming products.
That was tough to watch…$500 ouch!!!
Fanatics has priced out the average collector way to go
Watched another "bloodbath" Jumbo, they were not happy campers. Stryker ripped a very good Hobby. I would rather spend 500 bucks on scratchoffs
Yeah, but is that hobby pre-selected for him and provided by fanatics? Seems that is what people say about his rips.
@@keith9267 Fuggin bullshit if so.
Yikes. I hope people don’t buy this crap so the prices drop, disgusting, you gotta be crazy to buy these boxes, stick to retail
This video hurt to watch. Ouch 🤕
Boy that was a rough one. Only card I would even want was the Skenes base card. I'm a Cubs fan but Jordan Wicks was awful last year.
I never purchased a box for this much money. I am curious, how does one feel after opening a box like this? $500 for me is a big hit & might make me think about buying a 2nd box.
One feels like they have been scammed. $500!!! Should be half the price, and even that is too expensive. Topps CEO got overinflated prices on lockdown
I would feel like I got kicked in the nuts after that. They are out of control with these prices, even if you hit some great card you would have to sell it to even break even so what is really the point anymore? Its not even collecting its straight up gambling now.

😂😅@@sirwin7776
Easy pass for $500 haha wtf Topps
I got a monster box for $43.43 shipped to my door, that's worth it to me and will be a fun experience to open.
How was it?
@wazgood6389 Ha! I haven't opened it yet, maybe if that Skenes doesn't get found I'll try my luck!
Thanks for taking one for the team (all the early opens on youtube seem to be......) so hopefully my jumbo has a solid hit!!!

Love that caminero rookie debut
Seen several cases ripped, product is just a rough as normal chrome from this year
God Bless America!
People have to stop buying these boxes this is ridiculous
Quit supporting the breakers!!!
Seen a couple rips of Jumbos and not a single one has been worth it. I know the ceiling can be pretty high but no way Id buy this even if I could afford it
Underwhelming for $500+ 😞
Tough hit for $500. Good luck everyone
If you get an all star parallel of shohei or judge does it count for mvp buyback
No, only base cards from Chrome.
Did you say 250 Rookies in this past year?? That's a third of the MLB....is that normal, or does that seem like a lot to anyone else?
There were 651 players that logged at least 1 AB, and 855 pitchers that appeared in games, which makes 1,506 players. So I think you’re underestimating the size of the player pool by a lot. Note that those are actually both lows since 2020!

Ouch!
Thanks for 50 subs🎉
I will keep opening update retail. That was a tough box to watch
It's going to be higher as everyone will be searching for the patch cards especially to top rookies.
Will there be any breakers delight this year?
That cost $500? That's insane
I think if player already had Topps Chrome autos would probably have sticker autos in this
Great video Jabs!!🎉 Could've been a better box maybe next time
I'm pretty sure '23 Chrome Update had 13 cards per pack...
How do the big wigs at Topps sleep at night, knowing they released that? In a very expensive California king, im sure.
Yikes!! To say it nicely lol
I wish I had bought 30 more Fanatics Update blasters instead of buying 2 of the Chrome Update Jumbo Boxes.
Dang that was a tough box
Saw a break were he got a Paul Skienes lava card. Another who got a Ohtani #'d to 10 Allstar too.
Hard to believe they sold out. The hobby is out of control.

That was horrific
I would pay more for that Paul Skenes base rookie than all 3 of those autos
Only drawback to Chrome Update is sticker autos.

What a box!!! Fanatics really slathering the lube for this one.
And the autos are stickers not good at all
terrible value. I’m sticking with flagship
I think Fanatics thinks they can stab people in the wallet and get away with it. I’d boycott this crap.
I can't understand the hype on this product. Hobby boxes seem a little better, but overall this product is way overpriced. Sure, the debut patches are sweet, but that doesn't justify the price
Image variation in there.
Prices keep going up while the return keeps dwindling. Sad what the hobby has become.
The 1/1 paul that the one lol

Ouch! Kinda a rough box for that price. Definitely a pass on these.
Sticker autos of crapper rookies in a $500 box is embarrassing. Made possible by the stupidity of people who can't control their financial spending habits.
Wow. Not so good.
That’s a hard pass I’ll just by singles of cards I’m looking for.
Yep. Got 2 hobby boxes... let's find some debut patches guys! So stoked.!

First comment and like

Fanactics should atleast take you out to dinner before screwing you over like this.
💩💩💩
Too pricey!!! Not worth it!!! Better off just buying the Rookies.
😬
What a bunch of crap! I could buy a great superstar auto for that price.
A downfall is coming. Guess who or what it is..
$500 stupid is as stupid does
Mega boxes are $49.99 on Fanatics
