As a geography and history nerd, I wish google map can make more precise geographical boundaries/outlines on hong kong neighborhoods. Tseung Kwan O should include their other adjacents (like Hang Hau, Tiu Keng Leng, etc.) in Google Maps as well.
@@zworldocurrency and a portion of Olympic City in Google maps is somehow part of western Mong Kok, despite it being fully part of the Tai Kok Tsui area. Because of its proximity, Google Maps just simply marks the HK district and subdistrict boundaries like circles and squares.
When this line opened, it drawn passengers away from cross-harbour bus route 692, 1of 2 cross-harbour bus lines in Tseung Kwan O and the only cross-harbour bus route serving the Hang Hau district of TKO. At that time, Route 692 was suffering from delays due to traffic jams at the Tseung Kwan O tunnel and Eastern Harbour Crossing during rush hour. Eventually, the line ceased to operate in 2013 due to lack of passengers, leaving Hang Hau and Tiu Keng Leng without any 24-hour cross-harbour bus route since 2013.
It's still annoying how the Kwun Tong Line wasn't extended to LOHAS Park instead. The frequencies would be better that way as there will be no branching.
Tiu Keng Ling is not the first station built in the New Territories. Tsuen Wan, Airport, Tung Chung, Tsing Yi, Tai Wo Hau, Kwai Hing, Kwai Fong, Lai King are in the New Territories. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Territories
What I mean by that is the first station of the video in the New Territories. The first stations built in the New Territories are not on the Tsuen Wan Line, they are on the former KCR.
4:18 :And Whampoa
Yeah, you're right, I forgot about Whampoa
Asia World Expo, too?
Yep, forgot about that too 😅
The proposed East Kowloon Line from Diamond Hill should become part of Tseung Kwan O Line to relieve overcrowding on the Kwun Tong Line.

Whoever classified Hang Hau as a medium density region must be laughing their ass off
Tseung Kwan o is awesome. 7 Years ago there were not many buildings, Now I can not imagine how it has changed.❤❤❤❤
Whampoa has only one platform!!!

There is a route from Chai Wan to Tiu Keng Leng via Hang Hau called 694.
My favourite station color is Blue (Island Line), Magenta (West Rail Line) and Red (Tsuen Wan Line) :)
That is the line color, not station color
How come they didn’t explain the stocks of the line?

Can we see west rail line next?
Yeah, sure!
Easily the best line

@@hiddenhongkong East Rail stations were not built by MTR, they were inherited.
Is Tiu Keng leng Not Tiu Keng Ling
Which line are you doing next
Probably West Rail line or Tsuen Wan line, but nothing is certain yet.
Chapters for easy navigation, also nice explanation of the TKL!
