- Example 2 - 9702/13/M/J/15: A W-shaped tube contains two amounts of mercury, each open to the atmosphere. Air at pressure P is trapped in between them. The diagram shows two vertical distances x and y. Atmospheric pressure is equal to the pressure that would be exerted by a column of mercury of height 760 mm. The pressure P is expressed in this way. Which values of x, y and P are possible?

This question took me 30 minutes to figure out and she did it in 12 while explaining and with an easier method
I formed equations but was trying to simultaneously solve. Testing the options never occurred to me lol. Thanks for this!
Fun fact this question tested our patience 🤡
Smells like a question I would skip
LMAOAOAO
then no smell of a baking A* nearby ; (
ye i got a B in AS
@@hayyans9200 B is actually good, my preparation is of D till now ; )
@@tahabashir9405 Thats good, you should easily be able to get an A after practicing for a few months
Whoa 😮 thankss
EASIEST SOLUTION IS...look that x and y in the picture. x is obviously shorter than y. So, the only option where that is true is B. VOILA. No need to calculate anything for this question.
It says not to scale what are you on about
But common sense exists@@Why_did_RUclips_add_handles
Thanks mark rpbertson
