    Wait... This is everything. Lovely to see this and the ceremony was beautiful, I hear of certain temples doing Shinto weddings for same-sex couples and it looks very beautiful I must say. Okay Osaka, you coming through!

    It just looks like regular tourism. You have money, you do what you want. But it's a step i guess for countries who are still a bit skittish on lgbtq+ topics.

    *This was more a food commercial than an LGBT+ one. Not ONCE did they hold hands or kiss. They didn't act or behave like a couple either. As a married gay person this doesn't make me want to visit Osaka at all if I have to pretend to be straight with my husband like this couple is doing in this video. No thanks!*

      I get your point, but I guess no couple kiss in public like that, not even for a video, but it wouldn't hurt to hold hands...

      @@idromano Many LGBT+ couples kiss in public..but the makers of this video were obviously afraid of a homophobic backlash. It's still better than nothing..but too close to nothing to make me want to visit Osaka.

    A tad miffed that you'll pander to our gay yen/dollars but the overall acceptance for LGBTQ+ in Japan is still very lacking at government/civil levels. How about you work on real change before you ask us to come spend our money.

    • @satanichippo

      Maybe think before you comment... Do you think that the lgbtq+ community in japan wants it to be like this? Change doesn't happen overnight.

      @@satanichippo , oh you’re absolutely correct, I don’t think, I avoid it if at all possible. Otherwise I’d be out helping run a non profit raising money for homeless queer teens, actively making efforts to better things for the LGBTQ+ community, because as you pointed out it doesn’t happen over night.

      @@satanichippo You missed Matthew's point. If the LGBT+ people in your society are too busy doing other things to not promote faster change, then why in the hell are you asking LGBT+ people to come spend their money when that money will only support the current Govt? That would signal to the current Govt that's it's OK to not give LGBT+ people equal rights in all matters because they are still going to come and spend their money. Take your own advice: Think before you comment.

    • @satanichippo
      @satanichippo 2 года назад

      @@Nightbird. My point was that you are undermining the work that japanese lgbtq+ activists do because they don't have the same rights as you yet. Complaining about it instead of bringing up the topic and normalising it in japan is unproductive.

    • @Nightbird.
      @Nightbird. 2 года назад +1

      @@satanichippo Excuse me?! Do you think we LGBT+ people in the West were just handed our rights and equality on a fucking silver platter? Here in my country the USA we had to fight with our blood, sweat and tears for our rights. Go look up Stonewall and see how many people were jailed and beaten when they fought for LGBT+ rights and the police were taking them to jail for it. Go see how many American LGBT+ people were beaten and killed by both the police and the public when they were marching for equality. I have never heard of Japanese LGBT+ activists being jailed, beaten or killed while fighting for equality. So as far as I'm concerned the Japanese LGBT+ activists have it easy and are sitting on their asses and not doing enough to gain equality. When I was fighting for our rights here in America..I had people trying to beat and kill me on the street. People following me home. People threatening my entire family and friends. I had to watch my back all the time because I never knew if I would make it home alive. And many of us didn't make it home alive. Compared to us Japanese LGBT+ activists have it super easy. So get to work..start protesting..and make good trouble..because I don't see Japanese LGBT+ activists doing much beyond internet messaging and videos..and even that is very mild. Stop waiting for change and fucking make it happen like we did in America.

    公益財団法人大阪観光局は自治省OBを理事長として大阪府などが出資しているようです。安倍総理がかつて取り組んだVisit Japanの大阪バージョンのような各種活動をしているようですが、何故ことさらにLGBTQという小さいマーケットをターゲットにしてここまでの動画を創ったのか理解できないです。どのコミュニティも大歓迎のはずじゃないですか?これがサンフランシスコ市ならメッカだから理解できます、百歩譲って東京都新宿区への観光客誘致ならまだしも何故OSAKA?経済的効果を考えれば、白人シニア富裕層へターゲットを絞った動画のほうがいいんじゃないかと思いました。彼らは一週間で一人百万円近いパッケージツアーで訪日してくれる層ですから。今のところそういうツアーは東京ー奈良京都で完結して帰っていく行程が主流らしいので、そこへ斬りこんでいく戦略のほうがいいと思います、もし観光収入のためにつくったのだとしたら。

    「ゲイの方も大歓迎です!」というメッセージがあって有難いのですが、やっぱり他の人が英語でのコメントで言っている通りに「大阪でお金を使え」みたいなメッセージより、その前にLGBTQライツを増やしたらどうですかね。同性婚、反ホモフォビア(反同性愛嫌悪)、トランスジェンダーが性別を簡単に選択できる法案などに関しては、どんな活動・行動をやっていらっしゃいますか。
    そこが無視してしまうと、我々LGBTQはただ「歩いている財布」みたいに見られている感じがしますね…
