- This was indeed "the goofiest test ever" -William
I got to meet up with William from @LoneStarSirenProductions as well as his sister, Gianna from @LongHornTexasSirens
A few minutes after we got situated, Gabriel from @60l7ISirens showed up to join us as well. We waited for several minutes until 12:05 rolled around. At that point, Gabriel was on the phone with the EMA office when this rust bucket booped to life... Surprise! The rotator was already struggling as of one year ago and now we learn that it's completely broken!
When we ran up to the pole I could hear some relays clicking inside of the controller/battery box area and you could hear the Wattley Park 2910 prominently throughout the entire test.
Thankfully those crackheads nearby with the shopping carts didn't steal all of our camera equipment or assault us. Just another day in the life of a McDonald's city siren enthusiast lol
The tone it's using is called "Best Possible Protection".
Oh no Whelen broke his wires!!!
Lol
it got da encryption on it :skull:
What do you mean? The Motorola radio?
@@SirensAndAlarmsOfNorthernIL Apparently, McKinney's siren system is encrypted. The top panel contains the encryption board.
Actually this is the same sound they use in Israel for the Iron Dome warning.

Nice video. I knew it didn't rotate. It should replaced it soon with a 2910.
I contacted the EMA office and told them about it. They haven't responded yet.
@@personperson2319 Ok let me know about this.
@@personperson2319 how do you contact the Ema office?
@@adamssirenadventures6574
The EMA responded with:
"Thank you so much for reporting this to us! We are currently working with our vendor to identify the best repair options for this siren."
@@personperson2319 Ok.
Where is this? Also nice video recording!
This is unit #1 at the intersection of Smith and Johnson streets.
That custom radio tho! (Which I think is a Motorola FSK radio)
Yup! Those Motorola radios are apparently the reason they had to upgrade from their original ESC-864 Digital logic boards in the late 2000s-early 2010s.
@@personperson2319 So they are indeed Motorola radios huh. Well then, I finally know what their tones would sound like as I have heard Motorola FSK
Its an OptiWarn/ITS System, its going away soon though.
Also, its not an FSK system, its a APCO 25 IP Over Radio system, meaning if you even have the encryption key you still wouldn't hear anything.
Motorola doesn't do FSK. It would be the siren controller that does the FSK
@@CHS1997 they do, its just a rare option to see
Denmark utilizes the same tone as here.
Accept its a little fast and not the same tone
Goofy ahh siren 💀💀💀
This is kinda creepy NGL
I bet it’s gonna be replaced this time because of that
What happened
@@TheCasualSirenEnthusiast
The rotator gave up on life lol
So that means it gonna be replaced? @@personperson2319
@@almaburmydylan1713 we're not sure if they're gonna repair or replace. The E-Mail the EMA sent me said they were "looking at our best options with our vendor".
