Ever since Marvel's Spider-Man 2's New Game Plus Update adding Mission Replay, Change Time Of Day, Symbiote Suit Styles, Golden Gadget Styles and even updated Raimi Webbed Suit alongside the Homecoming suit, people have been wanting even more things updated in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
Some people have been saying that New Game Plus ruins the cutscene where Peter gets the symbiote suit because when he wears a regular suit the symbiote disappears and even when he removes it you can place the symbiote suit under but I think that's fine and a cool fun feature, its how NG+ works.
Something I do wish we had was being able to select what symbiote surge mode suit we wear alongside the style and symbiote tendril color and finally the symbiote surge spider-arms should have symbiote tendrils meshed with the arms and adding on to this we should be able to have the transitioning into the symbiote suit effect in every cutscene with whichever suit you have under.
Why don’t the spiderarms look like this with the black suit?

The thing i wanted in the game is the ability to change from normal mode to symbiote form
A lot of people were saying that Peters transformation could be like how Miles goes invisible by pressing up on the d-pad

We REALLY need the ability to switch suits like Web of shadows, it was so GOOD !!!
YES! WE DO! it was truly classic,everyday playing WBS Switching back and fourth from symbiote to normal. we need that in MSM2. the game will be complete.
Could be pretty simple to implement, just use UP on the D-Pad, same button that makes miles go invisible. But its all up to code and if that breaks it

The closest thing we actually have to this, is when you use a regular suit, then use symbiote surge, that's the closest thing to this we have currently

I think that’s another reason why they took so long to get new game plus, so that everyone can experience it the way it was suppose to be.
Having the ability to morph the symbiote over any suit in game would be sick though.

They can add a new setting where you can pick your normal suit and any symbiote suit and then just switch back and forth like WoS and during cutscenes it’ll switch to the suits you picked
So, the thing they should've just had in the game at release..
I wish they took a web of shadow approach with the symbiote where you can change between the two whenever.
If web of shadows did it, so can insomniac with the ps5
Here are a couple things I wish we could get but probably won't get.
- Color coded arms. It always bugged me that the mechanical arms are plain white for every suit, except for the Iron and Superior Spider suits. Would've been nice to see a red and blue or carbon fiber style for Advance/classic style suits and for the Anti Ock suit.
- Battle damage. After defeating Sandman, both Peter and Miles suits are covered in sand for both the base game and for NG+. However in NG+, after defeating Venom, both Spider-Men suits are clean as a whistle. I would like to see whatever suit they're wearing be nearly destroyed to emphasize how deadly a fight they were in.
- Suit change. So in Web of Shadows, you have the option to switch suits with a press of a button. So what if in Spider-Man 2, regardless of what ever non black suit you're wearing, the Symbiote stays on after Surge Mode. It be a cool immersion to see the alien wanting to stay on Peter.
This would likely be the easiest way for Insomniac to implement this concept. Compared to adding a whole new feature. They could just update the way the existing feature works.
If miles can go invisible (even if it is for a limited time) Peter should be able to perform a suit transition the same way (but no timer bar.. it has to be switchable)
None of this will ever matter if they keep giving updates every 5 months. Only for the update to inadvertently break something else
when we get the black suit in a normal run (not new game plus) we can change the suit and take the advanced suit 2.0 and get the transformation like the gameplay trailer
So why have I never seen it?
For whatever reason the symbiote transformation happens when you click in the R3+L3 into anti venom, but got rid of it on new game plus. I hope they can revert it back since it’s so cool to transform into anti venom like an anime power up

Having all the symbiote/symbiote-esq suits in their own tab would be nice so that way if you have one set it’ll morph into that in specific cutscenes or black suit spidey missions
I only wish we could switch parry with spider arms so it could make sense at least.
I still want them bring back the ability you can change your suit in the game cutscene like back in the first game

Think about it, this feature of switching between the black and red suit was even there in the spiderman 3 game for ps2 and psp. I hope they still add this feature 🤞🏼
I edited some clips on Share factory and made it look as if, when the symbiote latches onto Pete wearing the Webbed Raimi suit, it becomes the black webbed Raimi suit. I also edited some other suit transitional cinematic scenes. You can do the same and save it on your PS5 media gallery.
If they ever make a dlc for this game. I think it’s be fun to have a third selection of abilities to use where you combine your two sets of abilities to make a new set. With Peter, he’s combines spider arms & Symbiote tendrils. While with Miles he could combine his close ranged yellow electricity with his ranged blue electricity.
Maybe not the most wanted thing but i would love for it to be just like when peter takes the suit off having the transition of the symbiote is just to cool like they could just make a anti venom transition and a venom then just have it be that when u rage like sick and u can were what ever under
4:07 I believe if they had a mechanic or the gameplay trailer of being able to switch suits, it’ll mess up the flow of Peter getting the black suit
For that carnage dlc, they can kinda implement that for the anti venom symbiote peter now has. But i feel like they shouldnt go that route simply because they haven't differentiate the two fighting styles enough. Like the only difference between the red and black suit, or i guess anti venom suit is the ability wheel that im not a fan of.

I really don't understand why they won't just add the shift spider / symbiote mode, like realistically they will need from a programming point of view: add key listener to detect input, make player controller switch to relevant settings of the other suit (skills, voice/reactions, suit itself), plus they will need to introduce animation and sound for swapping. They already have all the necessary features to implement it, like why not just add it, everyone wanted and still wants this feature like. It's understandable that story wise, spider-man needs to get access to the suite shift/switch only after the mission where he actually gets the suit
i think insomniac put a settings. an option that you can turn on symboite effect or turn off symboite effect.
I think the best solution would be having the game change the suit to a symbiote equivalent and if that suit doesn't have a symbiote equivalent (tasm 2 suit for example) mabye change it to a "symbiote" style /color scheme
They just gotta add the symbiote suit as a seperate selection. The symbiote can become whatever he wants so it only makes sense. Having you be able to make the "Symbiote style" be any of his suits.
I think for suit switching in cinematics they could have a setting you can turn on and off for cinematic suit switching and if you turn it on you can go in and edit what suits your changing to and from, and if you change your suit manually auto fixes the setting (i.e. if it just switched you to symbiote suit and the you manually change it to iron spider the settings will change it so instead of [Suit 1] to symbiote its [Suit 1] to iron spider and you can change it back

I hope that they could add that one upgrade from the original spiderman game where you could use 1 health bar but get 2 finishers so 6 finishers in total with just 3 health bars
having the ability to switch between normal and symbiote suits is what i wanted ever since spiderman 2 got announced, switching to a specified symbiote suit during symbiote surge is also a very good idea
What I’d like is
1. Symbiote suit Toggle, slot A is standard suit, slot B is the symbiote suit you want to toggle to.
2. Further Tendril and Spider arm colour choices (like if I’m wearing the red coloured symbiote suit, red colour matching tendrils seem like a given. Likewise, using the anti ock suit with white arms annoys me also)
3. Ability to change web colour between white and black, I hate using the anti-venom coloured symbiote suit and the webs still being black.
4. I know this is nit picky but give peter the same number of dive swing animations as miles. Miles us a down, side and up input for both divinf face first and falling back first, Peter has an up, down and side to side for front facing dive, but 3 of the 4 have the same swing out animation, he also doesnt have a back dive. This really annoyed me because it isnt even about separating style between Peter and Miles, they just straight up didnt put in any effort aside from the Rubicks cube, and even then, he iust does a standard swing out, imagine if he swung and then there is a 50/50 chance of him either stowing it or he drops it.
They should make the iron arms symbiote tendrils and make different moves for it when you have the suit on

I can't get a symbiote specific finisher to save my life. I feel like I haven't seen any in like 2 play-thorughs! Just generic and spider arms
A follow mode would be fun. Call in one/ a few/ or all AI and they will follow you around being able to keep up with you or end up a few seconds behind and ready to help out in crimes and city events. Rather it just being random
I can’t be the only one who noticed the symbiote takedowns that Peter does in the release trailer never returned after you get the symbiote removed even in new game plus it’s not there.
I don’t think him transforming in that cutscene is would make sense but in the open world it would be great
I don’t know about during cut scenes, but why do you only one discovered that if you’re wearing a non-Symbiot suit and you activate rage mode or Symbiot surgeon believe it’s actually called, there’s actually a transformation into the Symbiot suit. This was in the game since release.
That black suit translation cutscene is real you can have that in your game but it can't be New game Plus or replay mission because your suit stays on no matter what cutscene plays and has to be a new game and you can do it with multiple suits at least I think so correct me if I'm wrong but I was wearing a different suit from the black suit when I started that mission and that animation played if anyone wants I can start a new game and then before the the cutscene plays I can swap to the advanced suit and upload it to my dog sheit channel.
How we can change colour of sybiote when we get sybiote , changing default suit to any suit

I think they were intending to put the trailer scene . If you go to the miles kidnapped mission in kraven's lair you will see on kraven's computer for spying on spider-man the trailer scene where spider-man was in red and blue and transforms into black suit
All I care about is that the mods add the e3 suit😢. but frl they need to add a thing when doing new games plus an option where u get to choose what suit is gonna be used for an act

Also I don’t know why they removed the suite change on fury mode, In NG+ looks dumb press L3 an R3 and still have de normal suite
what they should do is have you toggle between normal suit and symbiote suit with miles’ camouflage button so it actually does something for peter
i only need to things peter b parker into the spider-verse suit and give us way to select what normal suit we want and symbiote so it chances when he gets and removes the symbiote

It’s funny when Peter removes the symbiote to have the classic symbiote on because he’s like “wait I gotta make it smoother!”
I do wish the symbiot transformation was a thing, but I think they removed this feature because... Not every suit has a symbiot suit like they originally planned.
honestly the reason why we can't switch into our normal or symbiote forms is probably due to the narrative not because insomniac forgot about it. with the dlc coming out i think having the ability to switch symbiotes to cloth suits would make the most sense since canonically the suit we ended up in the end was the anti-venom, which has no sentience.
Peter getting rid of the suit thing can be fixed by changing Peter's suit while playing as miles during the boss fight.
The animation parry i think thats should be a optional too

So, the symbiote was too goated for me that there were moments where i just wanted to go back to the normal Spider legs but after you complete the main story you just cannot go back to those and that’s really disappointing for me, tbh thats my only complaint like, the game was peak but thats ok i guess

Its missing more combat like i said before WOB wins in that corner even me a lil kid powered through that game and still didnt have enough points to unlock every move. I think the game was rushed and not everything was taken into account for its not suppose to be a new game its suppose to be better and rn i just rather play WOB its the same concept just a lil darker.

They Should have not made the Symbiote permanemt, but like in Web of Shadows, There you as a player conterolled WHEN you used the alien. Whitch was way cooler. Missed oppertunity
On one hand, its cool to change suits. On the other hand, it isnt like web of shadows where it is supposed to change between them for the endings. Peter has rhe symbiote suit for the second act. He doesnt change it around.
