If Lewis doesn't want to spend and Levy lacks the means then they should both leave there is no mathematical impossiblity why TH shouldn't have an Oligarch or Oil State who treats Tottenham like a passion project that they just pump money in with no expectations of ROI
Simon is usually spot on but he's channeling his inner Martin Keown here. We always hear Simon say just because he wasn't a player doesn't mean he can't comment on them to Keown. So the same logic applies to the owner debate I'm afraid Simon. It may be great off the pitch for Tottenham but no doubting levy and Lewis should have had it a lot better on it by now it.
We get the bit about not becoming Everton, but at the same time, it''s not just "didn't back Pochettino after the Champions League final." The list of managers he scrimped on is basically ALL. The only players Pochettino got to actually affect the first team were Son, Alli, and Alderweireld. That's in 5 years. You can't really count people like Wanyama, Davies and Sissoko. Tripper ok. That's 4.
@@kendallgibson1900 Lucas Moura! Alright , say we got 8 players of value in those years. The others all stinkers. Levy would say Serge Aurier. We let him have Aurier 9.
@ 😳 What when we went into Administration in 1991 because the owners couldn’t afford to run the club. Aim higher and look for owners who want success and back the managers.
Crook must be one of the dumbest human beings on the planet to not understand that Spurs used to win plenty of cups before Levy came along. How is this guy in a job if he can't put 2 and 2 together?
He wasted the whole month watching the squad continue to go through an injury crisis for months and pick up no points the entire month in the prem. That should tell you all you need to know about Daniel levy. Signing no outfield players until February in the January transfer window is unacceptable the squad needed more than this. We’ve waited to save a dime here or there.
I don’t rate him too highly. I wouldn’t say ‘remarkable’. Levy’s decisions have often been contentious. Sacking a manager just before a cup final was widely seen as regrettable. Additionally, a transfer window period without signing a player and the lack of consistent backing for managers have raised questions about his approach. Every managerial change incurs significant costs, and the financial impact of selling players at lower prices than their purchase value further challenges his business acumen. While he has established a solid infrastructure, it seems more could be achieved with a different approach that prioritises footballing success alongside commercial growth
Look at FSG at Liverpool. They built a new state of the art training ground, rebuilt the stadium and area around it but they also invest in the right people behind the scenes, like Edwards, Hughes and Slot. Liverpool have spent £34m this season and sit top because the people at the top are smart. Levy has made the club better off the field but not on it. He's the longest serving chairman in the league and Spurs have won sod all with him because he doesn't make the right decisions off the field. He doesn't employ the right people so Spurs have spent a bundle on average players. He's like the Brendan Rodgers of owners. He'll get you close, has great character but, ultimately, he's not good enough to get Spurs to where they want to be.
No it's not. He massively went over budget on the stadium. Didn't lock in any prices for steel cement raw materials etc. Or agree fixed term rates for labour. Stadium safety test failed delaying opening by 4 months because he tried cutting corners. That added on £400m extra to the stadium build which should of come in under £1B but ended up £1.2B. 6 years in, NO stadium sponsor which amounts to on average £75m in lost revenue. Any half intelligent person with a business degree knows this
@ having a business Brain doesn’t mitigate against mistakes only implies you will make more gains stripes in relationship to mistakes.Maybe a quick read about Spurs before Levy Can help clearly understand how gigantic the job he has done is also considering the context of the massive clubs with enormous funds he has been competing against.Expecting Spurs to do better than Chelsea,City,United,Liverpool and Arsenal is delusional.Only reason you even contemplate any of such scenarios is cus of Levy
Levy has run the club cautiously but progressively and we may have had a relegation or two perhaps if he hadn't been steering the ship,of course it's frustrating not winning trophies but it will happen and will be special when it does.
Absolute nonsense, everyone goes on about this stadium, but who tf cares. Nice big billion pound stadium to watch us lose to the likes of Ipswich and Leicester in. We go for the football team, not the stadium. And at the end mentioning disasi, villa dont have a billion pound stadium, or charge the highest prices in europe and make 250m less a year, but theyre in the champions league, while we're 13th. Says it all about how inept levy is when it comes to football. We had a better team at WHL than we've ever come close to getting at THS. But sure lets all celebrate the stadium huh. Real game changer
Careful what we wish for. 1 trophy in 25 years I reckon most would wish for more. Crook was also rambling on about we’ve only won 1 trophy in 25 years and not serial winners. Alex that is the reason why as ownership don’t want to win.
Does spurs history to you only exist in the last 25 years? How old are you? The clubs over 100yrs old of which we’ve been a cup team from time to time. Fans like you are only obsessed with what Levy has done and not the dull drums we had under Sugar in the 90s! Or being in the 2nd division in the 80s!! Or not winning the league since 60s!
@ what are you on about. What does my age matter and I’m 50 so seen the 80’s and wasn’t in 2nd division then as that was the 70’s and also 90’s which we won stuff. It’s the now that matters
@ ok cool. So Tottenham were better the 25 years before Levy in your lifetime then the 25 with him? Haha well put it this way…Wigan and Portsmouth have won the FA Cup more recently then us and trust me…I’m far happier being a Spurs fan then supporting those two messed up clubs. But agree to disagree 👍
We are well run and no chance of going skint but a serious lack of trophies under enic is not acceptable far to many managers at the club have not helped.
I love it when pundits give a team no chance. The results speak for themselves: Match 1: Liverpool 6 - Spurs 3, Match 2: Spurs 1 - Liverpool 0. What makes the second game interesting is an injury hit side and a Werner on the left up front. I'm not silly enough to think playing Liverpool at Anfield will be an easy feat but this time we'll have a decent defense: Spence, Davies, Micky, Porro and Kinsky in goal. The boys showed against Brentford they can win without the ball. I am hoping for a Spurs win but I guarantee it will be a lot closer than the pundits think and wouldn't surprise me if it is a nil all draw. COYS!!
I agree with SJ - Levy has done a remarkable job. A product that is appalling, has had so many “buy it”. Ie it’s like a car manufacturer with a duff engine being sold by the millions and known as a prestigious brand, despite being a faltering product.

If Lewis doesn't want to spend and Levy lacks the means then they should both leave there is no mathematical impossiblity why TH shouldn't have an Oligarch or Oil State who treats Tottenham like a passion project that they just pump money in with no expectations of ROI
I’d prefer Levy as chairman provided he’s fully committed to winning silverware
@ He is not him and Lewis have always been alligned
@@TantricBioHackernot all spurs fans want some disgusting Arab country with appalling human rights records thanks.
Simons never been a pro player but he loves to criticise them.such a hypocrite when it comes to levi
totally unbiased lol
People don't need to have played to have an opinion, are you 10 years old?
@@karlstrausside107that's what Simon is saying you dumb idiot
that's like saying that you can't vote because you're not a politician
@@karlstrausside107 that was not the point i was making.clearlywent over your head
I bet there would be another 60 000 people that would like to go to a stadium like spurs have built.
Let’s remember. Simon Jordan was a premier league owner for one year. Palace got relegated and went into administration.
Thanks to Jason the Arsenal fan, for calling in 😂
Simon is usually spot on but he's channeling his inner Martin Keown here. We always hear Simon say just because he wasn't a player doesn't mean he can't comment on them to Keown. So the same logic applies to the owner debate I'm afraid Simon. It may be great off the pitch for Tottenham but no doubting levy and Lewis should have had it a lot better on it by now it.
Crooky is bitter about Tel, Mark Goldbridge vibes
We need to pay better wages to attract better players, you can only get on the training ground if you're not playing every three days.
Tripper ok. That's 4.
I forgot Eric Dier😮
Wanyama was key wtf
my mistake , 36 games in the unbeaten at home season. I was remembering the later injuries too much.
Won’t have the Davies disrespect, solid player for us. Immense against Brentford .
@@kendallgibson1900 Lucas Moura! Alright , say we got 8 players of value in those years. The others all stinkers. Levy would say Serge Aurier. We let him have Aurier 9.
Does Levy have something over Simon?
Definitely 😂
Don’t think Spurs fans give two shits what a man who nearly liquidated Crystal Palace has to say
Ohhh Simon in protection mode again for his PAL Levy! Nothing new to see here guys Simon is shameless
1 trophy in 24 years. Nope 🙂↔️ wouldn’t miss your best pal Daniel Levy at all.
Yeah then we can go back to the garbage team we were in the 90s
@ 😳 What when we went into Administration in 1991 because the owners couldn’t afford to run the club. Aim higher and look for owners who want success and back the managers.
Alex "My understanding is" Crook
Crook must be one of the dumbest human beings on the planet to not understand that Spurs used to win plenty of cups before Levy came along. How is this guy in a job if he can't put 2 and 2 together?
He wasted the whole month watching the squad continue to go through an injury crisis for months and pick up no points the entire month in the prem. That should tell you all you need to know about Daniel levy. Signing no outfield players until February in the January transfer window is unacceptable the squad needed more than this. We’ve waited to save a dime here or there.
How do you know he didn’t try and get players in ?
We have been dealing with Levy for far too long we are way past it!!!!! Levy needs to get the hell out 😮💨
I don’t rate him too highly.
Agree with a lot of what you said. BUT no players were bought in those windows as Poch said he didnt need/want any. Thats been proven now
This new set with the rotating ball is just awful. Way too distracting and unnecessary. Something that didn't need fixing.
Levy business acumen is the reason why Spurs feel like a big team. His organizations, planning and development of spurs is beyond remarkable
Any half intelligent person with a business degree knows this
@ having a business Brain doesn’t mitigate against mistakes only implies you will make more gains stripes in relationship to mistakes.Maybe a quick read about Spurs before Levy Can help clearly understand how gigantic the job he has done is also considering the context of the massive clubs with enormous funds he has been competing against.Expecting Spurs to do better than Chelsea,City,United,Liverpool and Arsenal is delusional.Only reason you even contemplate any of such scenarios is cus of Levy
stadium revenue first, average players after
Levy has run the club cautiously but progressively and we may have had a relegation or two perhaps if he hadn't been steering the ship,of course it's frustrating not winning trophies but it will happen and will be special when it does.
Simon Jordan is Levy's biggest cheerleader 🎉
Ahh the weekly segment of jordan glazing levy. Wipe your mouth
Turn it in Jordan like a broken récord
I think Levy has been a wonderful owner. Then again I'm an Arsenal supporter.
Another 24 years of abject failure and spursy punchline?simon is levy’s mouth piece, and doesn’t even know it 😂
Absolute nonsense, everyone goes on about this stadium, but who tf cares. Real game changer
as a spurs fan no im not happy.....tel doesnt want to be there, danso is mid tier at best
Villa spent a large part of post ww2 In the lower divisions. As well as epl years.
Wow Simon defending a multi millionaire owner, who is overseeing a decades long trophy drought, who would have thought that! Simon is a clown.🤡
Jordan always defends failing football executives
COYS!!
At this point, i don't blame Levy anymore because players don't want to play for them
I agree with SJ - Levy has done a remarkable job. A product that is appalling, has had so many “buy it”. Ie it’s like a car manufacturer with a duff engine being sold by the millions and known as a prestigious brand, despite being a faltering product.
