I carry every day. I have a VNSH Holster that I use about half the time based on clothing choice or venue circumstances. ANY belly band is hot in Florida but this beats the other wider choices. It is quite comfortable. I have 3 issues with the VNSH which they could reconcile easily but have not . They sent me a second one free instead.
    1. If your choice of extra mag is longer than the depth of the pockets, it could pop out when you stand up after bending over. There are no retention straps for the mag pockets. A simple fix.
    2. The main firearm pocket is straight vertical. No cant possible. A choice of left or right tilt would be great. Another easy fix. It would also be great if the pocket was large enough to insert the appropriate Kydex retention shell into it.
    3. The magnet and ferrous target on the retention strap for firearm pocket should be reversed. As it is, after you lift your shirt, you have to pull DOWN on the magnetic strap with your thumb to release it before you pull handgun UP out of holster . If they were reversed, you could flip magnet UP with your thumb as you draw gun UP simultaneously.
When I wrote customer service to say that I had suggestions, they thanked me for my business and sent me their latest revised holster for free! It's the same one. I don't see any revisions in their current ads.

3:46- 100% agree with Kim about that magnetic retention strap being a HUGE safety hazard to catch the trigger... Not the one you pull with your hand, but the one closest to your body. WAY too easy for that button strap to fall into the trigger guard and catch the trigger. I'd never use a holster like that. Thank you Kim!!!

To be fair, you could just carry with a manual safety or use a DS/SA and ride your thumb on the hammer to feel for any travel.
That being said, I don't think I would use the VNSH holster. I would much prefer something designed for my gun.

We are not in a western movie. I have always
slowly carefully reholstered, unless its a single action revlover. Drawing and carefully reholstering is part of my practice ,no matter what holster I have. Realistically ,except for practice, how many times a day ,do you need to draw, and reholster, hopefully never. Always with concealed carry a piece of your shirt can get caught in your holster, so you better be carefull. Concealment and comfort are most important.

It isn't comfortable against the body for the price. Requires an expensive add on "levo papoose" or cut a $10 nike headband and slip it over the strap. Makes strap soft and not rub scratch or itch on skin. The levo has a chasey cover for front plastic, but i've seen demonstrated concepts just use an old sock he cut slide over the front and cut holes for leash and belt etc. I'll admit with upgrades leg leash and the papoose and wedge kit, I'm over $300 into my enigma express but its now comfortable enough to edc without feeling it, and conceals amazing even in swim shorts and tank tops, and retains the pistol well even in hard use (I do 10 mile hikes, with running across rough terrain) so while very expensive, it's the only one I've found so far that can meet my needs for belt less, high activity, must stay open to reholster, and not print even in tight clothes. tldr its pricey and far from perfect out of the box, but with upgrades over time it became much better, and in hindsight, worth the cost, for me at least

The problem with narrow straps is that if you have to tighten the straps to stabilize and/or postion the holster so the gun sits where desired, there are noticeable lines caused by the strap pushing in to fatty areas causing noticeable lines that can print through clothing.. Im happy to see that the muzzle and front sight blade is enclosed within the 'pouch' unlike some belly-band designs where the front sight can snag on a draw stroke. Still I prefer a kydex-enclosed trigger guard and always-open holster shell.

Never had a belly band style holster that i really liked. Having said that; the only one I've ever owned was from Crossbreed. The backing of the kydex started coming off and the Seans started to frey just getting it adjusted. After about a month it got so bad that it would fold up on itself and dig into my waist line. I gave them a 2 or 3 star review which anytime i checked was never posted on their site. That was about 7 or 8 years ago. Now i carry aiwb using a regular kydex holster and a Kore belt. Infinitely more comfortable.

I've tried the VNSH holster and I'm honestly super impressed. I think just a solid shoulder holster is my best option at this point, otherwise just my regular old belt with an IWB holster and suspenders to keep the bloody trousers up as I carry my two extra magazines in my left cargo pocket. I expect if I were as slim and trim as I was back in Seal training it would actually be functional. After two separate breaks of my back and recent stress and a guaranteed uptick of cortisol and tacking on some stupid shit unhealthy weight recently. In the end the VNSH holster is utter shite for my needs.

I’ve been running a 3 speed as my beltless holster for over a decade and I absolutely love it. It’s extremely comfortable and it REALLY conceals your firearm. I usually run an Sig p226 in it and it hardly prints even in shorts and a form fitting shirt. You need a different one for all your guns and they run a bit over $100 so the holster in the video has that over the 3 speed but that’s about it. I have 13 of their holsters and haven’t had an issue with any of them but if you do they have a no questions asked lifetime warranty program.

Thanks for the comparison. I've been considering both of these. I also prefer to have a permanently open holster and have the trigger totally covered and unable to be pulled accidentally, which it doesn't look like the VNSH would do. But enigma is quite expensive and it's annoying that after spending so much they still suggest "upgrades" to make it even more expensive. Why not just make it worth what we're paying for in the first place? I realize every business has to make a profit, but making it a fair profit instead of ripping people off would make happy customers that will recommend the products to others and come back to buy more.

This whole holster puzzle is enough to makes one's head spin. My wife doesn't carry, because she can't make up her mind on what position to carry, and the holster to go with it. She is not the same fitness as Kim, so she is worried that the gun will be poking her all the time. She mentions carrying small of the back, but doesn't try it out. I know in my journey with holsters, I still haven't found the perfect fit and feel, and am getting a bit finicky about spending the money, and finding out it isn't for me. Good to see these reviews, as it gives me something to look into.

It was a good comparison, but having a VNSH holster myself, I thought your VNSH review seemed a little picky but then we all have our opinions. Most of the holsters I see have some various issues and none are perfect. For me if it’s comfortable and safe that’s what matters. Most of the quality holsters are a bit pricey I find. I think the VNSH representatives seemed fair and honest when they receive complaints and attempt to address the issues. They were ready to replace or repair and make needed changes. For me, the fabric holsters are much more comfortable, personally I like having a few choices and use one or the other holsters on any given day. Owning and carrying firearms can get pricey when you consider the cost of a quality firearm, quality Ammo, and a quality Holster, but if you want to be safe, you do need all 3. Stay safe and be careful whatever your choices are for CC products. They seem to come out with a new gun of various brands every single day. Try not to fall for all the gimmicks, choose the firearm most comfortable for you, practice and become proficient with it, and unless someone comes out with major changes that you feel warrants the heftier price, stick with what feels best, what gun you are more accurate with, and what feels best to YOU not to all the snake oil providers who are getting paid to talk you into something new every other day. If changes come about they really need to be worth the price increases. If not stay with your favorites that have proven themselves year in and year out. I was employed for a federal law enforcement agency and for 31 years I was there, they usually assigned us either Glocks or SigSauer, and from what I saw that was true for any of the Special Agents in FBI, ATF, DEA, IRS and any other agencies that had “Special Agent” employees. You could carry other manufactured brands at your own expense for a secondary weapon, but I never saw many who opted for others, mainly because the expense was often out of our afforded price or the difference didn’t seem to be worth it. I was in a position that my agency chose not to arm at the time I was there so I’m speaking for what I saw and what friends at the agency carried. Once retired, I made my choices from what appeared to be most logical once I began my choice to conceal carry. Now, my CC choices have been Glock, SigSauer, and CZ. I haven’t been disappointed with any of the 3. All appear to be of equal quality for various reasons. Like everyone it seems we all need “Just one more” gun every now and then. I get the same itch purchasing a new guitar. I don’t need more but I seem to want “just one more” when I begin looking at new ones😎🤓😳

I have a VNSH holster, and have one major complaint. Just about every time I wear it, if I'm doing any sort of activity that involves bending down and up numerous times, one of my magazines always falls out to the ground. The pouches aren't tight enough to secure the magazines (these would be 17-round double-stack 9mm mags). They need to improve the design to incorporate some kind of strap that loops over, to keep the magazines in the pouch.

My opinion on the VNSH is that they have a LOT of ad dollars to spend, period. I don't really consider it much of a holster. It's a sleeve on a belt. The ads hype that you "don't need a belt" with VNSH. Which is ridiculous, because it IS a belt. I will stick with holsters that offer more. As far as the Enigma, they need release a wider, better leg leash, but it can be worn without it. It is also quite comfortable, conceals well, actually covers the trigger, and allows for a fast draw.

Been where the VNSH holster for a few months now with s&w equalizer and it is great. This is my first IWB carry and for me it is awesome. I would always make comments to my son about appendix carry and how... ypu know, accidently shooting your love muscle off!! 😊 , and thought how uncomfortable it would be to carry there, sitting and bending over and such. anyways, got this holster, and a big pro for me is when you are out and about for the day and you gotta go, either number 1 or 2, you can simply slide it up you torso and get the task done, slide back down...done!!!
For everyone that carries appendix, yall know, it ant bad at all, in the comfort perspective, to carry like that. Way more comfortable than thought.
No riding up or sliding with VNSH. I will say I originally bought VNSH for the PDP. It doesn't fit. The trigger gard....how you say too large. It sticks out too far and that lip where you can wrap a finger, will not allow to holster the weapon. The " beautiful young lady BTW" is exactly right. The pistol grip does stick out a little, but not bad. I find myself finding correct shirt or just a light jacket to reduce /eliminate printing. If you like all positions carry and confort, get it. It's a great buy. BTW I where 34 pant in waiste.

For a fraction of the cost of either of these holsters, the Strapt-tac belly band lets you use a IWB kydex holster and is very comfortable.

I recently received my VNSH holster and carried for 4 days now. It is much better compared to other belly belts with velcro straps. So far, there are things I don't like about the holster (maybe because I have a fat problem). I am a short guy 5 feet 4 inch dude with a beer belly haha, the holster looks great, is comfortable but depending on what clothing you have on and what you decide to carry, it may show. For me, when I tried to carry my Berretta 92FS, yes it does fit but it's a bit big and will show when I wear a sweater/hoodie over it. I also tried my SAR9 and my 2011 from rock island armory and they all show. The only hand gun I have that fits this holster great is my SIG SAUER P365 XMacro, compact guns will definitely work better and obviously for conceal and carry, they're just smaller guns. Full size handguns seems to give me issues. Oh I have to mention, my SAR9 has a light mounted in the front, it's tough to get it in with an accessories on in the front. On my P365X Macro, I have no light on the front but I have a holosun reddot EPS carry, fits in nicely. As mentioned in this video, I also don't like the belt carry only because you do have to kind of press the gun towards your body to holster your gun easier. As for drawing your gun, comes out easily. I'm also afraid of accidentally discharging rounds because I don't know how well these cloth holsters protects the trigger, so unfortunately if I use my VNSH holster, I don't want to keep one in the chamber for ready fire.

1.) I have several different types of calibers so with that regards the Vanish would win.
2.) I would like the choice to position my firearm were ever I feel is appropriate to properly carry
    and conceal.
3.) The price difference between thw Enigma and the Vanish? I can currently purchase 2 Vanish holsters for the price of 1 Enigma holster minus the additional costs for holsters of different calibers.
4.) You mentioned the Enigma comes with a warrenty for 5 additional dollars the Vanish adds a Lifetime warrenty and free replacement of any defects, discolorations or orders which the material may absord.
    5.) If you conceal carry
and have to enter any Federal facility on a daily basis like the Postal Service you
will notice clearly posted for the public, " No Firearms" which
Means if you carry with an Enigma, returning to your vehicle undoing
and untieing yourself from that holster only to have to redress and retie yourself to it
afterwards rather then just undo the velcro and put it into your firearm box and do the reverse when you return and go about your daily routine.
6.) There is no dought in my mind that the Enimga is a high quality holster dispite it's price point but in the video there are no Visable differences betqeen one holster or the other except that the Emigma is in a fixed pisition when concealing the weapon which brings us back to points number 1 threw 5. So there are Both Pro's and Cons to think about just as you would with a shoulder or ankle holdster.

I have the Vanish that I use some. It has held up well. I do have an issue, like you, that it is a soft holster and I worry when inserting my gun. I primarily carry a Shield Plus. It fits fine but I wonder if a larger gun would really fit. Like another comment I've seen, I have had a mag work it's way out. You really don't want to stand up and have a mag drop out of your pants leg. So I don't carry an extra mag. I agree with you on the sales model. I don't like those tactics either. Probably drives extra sales, but really leaves a bad taste for me. Thanks for the information on the enigma. I,ve breifly looked into it and the price has held me back. But hearing from you and some of the comments about the strap qualities is good to hear.

I returned this holster because I carry at 4-5 pm and having the magazine pouch next to the weapon made it impossible to retrieve. I would have to have a separate carrier for the magazines. Also it collapses and the hook side of the hook and loop(Velcro) is on the side that faces my skin, which means that if you have some showing, it will scratch like a thousand cats!

Driving 500 miles a day leaves me limited on comfortable left handed options. Been looking at holsters like the vnsh for a while, and it seemed the most appealing. I like that you can set it up almost anywhere, but I would like a better angle for the draw for the placement I would want.

    Good video. Good info.
If you have to take your carry gun out and then reholster during your normal day, then the belly band is not for you.
If you are worried about inserting the pistol into the band, then put it in before you put the band on. Or get a pistol with a safety. On the Glock, you can get a 1911 type safety installed.
I will not carry appendix style. Too risky IMHO. I have stuff I want to keep attached.
I ordered a VNSH but dont have it yet. If it conceals well I will use it. If it doesnt, then I will use it in the house. Then I dont have to have pants with loops and a belt with my lounging wear. I like to wear really long Tee shirts that will easily cover a pistol. So, I really wont need pants with a belly band.

I have many holsters, both IWB and OWB and Enigma. Have yet to get the Enigma to be comfortable and concealable while making my Glock 19 accessible. I prefer a tuckable IWB holster for accessibility. Fun fact, I have a Glock 19 and Glock 26, they both fit the $20.00 Glock rubber holster and carry great. Who would have thought, after buying multiple holsters, that a $20.00 Glock rubber OWB would be my got to holster.

It has the same problem she mentioned with this. About not staying open to reholster. Also retention isn't great in smart carry. My brother used one and his gun flew out of it while running. He ended up stuffing a pocket holster into the smart carry for better retention. He liked it but non kydex retention / difficult reholstering pushed him away

I have people telling me to try the Phlster Enigma because it's a great option for AIWB even for a guy carrying a few (dozen) extra pounds.
Because of the extra pounds, and because I have experience as a carpenter with tools in that area, I prefer the 3:30/4:00 position, but I'm looking for a good option for wear with a kilt.
I perused the Phlster site, but I don't see good options (even in their third-party suggestions) for my preferred pistol (CZ PCR). I suppose I could try it for my M&P Shield, as the smaller piece would be less of an irritant in what is essentially a "codpiece" position, but that's a lot of money for a trial that I don't expect would work well for me. I've tried the SmartCarry holster, and unless the Enigma is VERY different in placement, I just don't see how it would be that much better.

I've been watching the Enigma for years and they NEVER have a sale. Black Friday, Cyber Monday, nothing, never, nada. Your first review was when I learned the firearm goes against the body. In a tropical climate? No thanks, they can keep it. I recently tried the Vnsh and right away I'm not crazy about the strap. Seems like it was intended for left handers making it awkward to strap on. Philster doesn't seem to need to do sales, since they sell them about as fast as they can make them from what I understand. It's highly demanded and nearly all reviews are positive other then price and need for comfort upgrades (some of which they now offer, ie sport belt) but it is quite expensive. I've found you do get what you pay for in some cases. And the decked out philster is really good, just really pricey too 😢

I bought one of these holsters, and they have a number of fatal flaws that made me stop using it. 1) The pocket for the pistol is not wide enough to accommodate a pistol with a light on it, which all of my carry pistols have. 2nd, and most important to me, is the release on the holster. My model had a snap on it, but the snap that came over the gun to secure it, also came over the snap closest to the body. That meant that, to draw the pistol, I would have to hook my thumb under the snap and pull up on it until it released, then pull the gun out. This, in my opinion, is a more expensive Bravo Belt Belly Band with poorly executed frills.

Really not sold on it, and agree i prefer holsters that are specifically made for my firearms. The other negative for me for both of these options is I have weapon light/laser on all my guns and manufactures continue to act as if this should not be an option.

I watched the full ad for the VNSH holster on a pop up ad on RUclips. Not once did they ever show someone wearing it in the 4 minute ad. Why? Because it is bulky and it sucks. They want to to buy it, then most likely just throw it in a drawer. With any holster of this size that is made to carry a medium to full size gun, you have to dress for the gun. If you buy a small handgun and carry it in a pocked holster, you dress the way YOU want. Winter, summer, you name it, as long as you have a pocket. And you never need a cover garment when it's 90 degrees out, which is a true giveaway that you are hiding something.
