I don’t see Dalaran making a return. If anything from Dalaran were to make a reemergence, it would be only the violet citadel. To quote Xal’atath, “the kirin tor squander their power, I’ll put it to much better use.” You don’t destroy the object in which you claim to put to better use… you teleport it… which is why when Dalaran blew up, it blew up from teleportation instability. Remember we weakened all of the wards to before coming to the isle of Dorn. Look at the legion and the war within cinematic of Dalaran teleporting, the same shockwave is emitted as it’s destroyed. Xal’atath made a black hole, and she sucked up the violet citadel. Think of all the artifacts and libraries within the violet citadel. The eye of Dalaran, artifacts from the nexus wars, nathrazim artifacts found during the lich king era and so much more… she wouldn’t blow it up, there is to much power that would be squandered. If the violet citadel resurfaces it will be an instance or within a raid.
The mages of the Kirin tor will rebuild, it will be bigger and grander, something new, but honoring the past. We are seeing the northern kingdom in midnight, while we are seeing the return of Gilnaius, Lordaron, Silvermoon, and perhaps something new built out of old Dalaran, and who knows, perhaps Stratholm will also become a player hub. All of these cities…. Perhaps all of this set up, will kick off player housing, by then warbands will be completely fleshed out. Now you’ll need somewhere for your heroes to call a home, somewhere to show off your accolades, something to customize and call your own. What better time to introduce it but at the presumed “end of the world”.

"The Eye of Dalaran never made it back to Azeroth and was consumed by a void terror named Occul'tharon inside the Twisting Nether."
Without the eye, we can't rebuild dalaran................

If they rebuild Dalaran and revamp all these cities up north, they are going to have to make the zones huge. The minute you dragon ride into the sky you'll be at the next city.

It’s just Doron prediction, and only Blizzard know for sure what will happen. But, this time, I can see it being true. Of course, the next expac will just bring the revamp of the Lordaeron / Quel Thalas part of the eastern kingdoms. (I suspect they will add Kezan, too, and I hope they will add Zul’Dare island, which was in the Gilneas area but never implemented) But, to be honest, it’s really the only part of the eastern Kingdoms that needs a serious revamp. Gilneas, Stromgarde, Southshore (now returned to the Alliance), Strahnbrad (Now a Horde / Forsaken town), the western and eastern Plaguelands (what happens to Andhorral after Cataclysm ?) Doron made a mistake, it’s far more than the only two actual zone of Quel Thalas that will be rebuild. They will add a whole Zul Aman / Amani Troll zone (with probably a future allied race capital and the mysterious Shrine of Ula’tek that was teased in the vanilla map. There will also be the whole zone in the north of Lordearon / Stratholme named Quel Thalas, and I suspect that we will have, as a raid or an instance, what they called the dragon isles at the time (old god themed instance in a void expac make sense) No other part of the eastern Kingdoms deserve really a revamp (Kalimdor need a big one. I hope we will get it after the world soul saga) As for Dalaran being rebuild and bigger, it makes sense. After such a destruction, the mages may want to keep it on the ground in its original place, which is a zone that will be revamped. Of course, the city will have to be bigger, since the suburbs will be rebuild as well (we still see their ruins in the Hillbrad Foothills) And I know that I may be in the minority, but I’m not a big fan of neutral racial capitals. I would rather have Silvermoon being horde only, or just having the western part now in ruined given to the Alliance high elves (Void elves already have their own capital, Telgorus rift) For me, more Horde only place is needed in the Eastern Kingdoms, and more Alliance only place is needed in Kalimdor. So a neutral Dalaran will be perfect for me.

Dont forget the Man'ari questline indicated that the reunited Eredar are building THEIR new capital (which is needed to counterbalance rebuilding SMC). Given that Velen will abso-fucking-lutely be involved in leading his people to fight the VOid now that the Legion has been vanquished - he himself prophesized Anduin leading a combined army, including dragons and Naaru, agasint the Void. Note that for several expansions now THAT situation has been slowly being built.

Dalaran was in wc 3 the frozen throne. And antonidas was a playable character. The teacher of medivh and khadgar

Sure Dalaran was destroyed by Archimonde in the end of the undead campaign in War III - Reign of Chaos (after we defend Kel'Thuzad during his summoning of Archimonde for x minutes), but Antonidas wasn't Medivh's teacher. He sent Khadgar to spy on Medivh as an apprentice exactly because Medivh kept his knowledge to himself far south in Kharazan.

Nah. Doron fantasizing again. Let Dalaran go. People got too attached to it because of the Legion Dalaran hearthstone.

I wonder if it makes any sense to rebuild Dalaran in its original place. If they are going to revamp all of the northern eastern kingdoms for Midnight, that would mean we would have an Alliance city (Gilneas) and a Horde city (Lordaeron aka Undercity) right across the lake from Dalaran. I don't think that would make much sense. I sure wish Dalaran would be rebuilt for lore reasons (and my mage alt would be happy if that happens), but I don't think it would be useful. Specially when we take into account Metzen's sentense at BlizzCon "unite all elven kingdoms". At least for me, that would mean Silvermoon would work as neutral hub for all elven kingdoms, much like Dalaran was.

Wow would do well to not be PG with their story. The power or friendship just made DF ridiculous to me. Dalaran returning corrupted from the void would make a good raid

I don't see Silvermoon being neutral and i don't see the blood elves going to the Alliance sounds like wishful thinking, they gave them Void elves for a reason. Also i think as far as player housing goes they should do something like Fallout 76 and and let players build a camp/house in any zone in wow.
