Exactly! His ability to block punts is extraordinary. I’ve been saying that’s his most underrated aspect. He literally won us that one Bucs game in 17 or 18 with a blocked punt. And he’s had 1 or 2 more on top of that.
I was at BYU when he was our QB. I was devastated when injuries meant that scouts never really got to pay attention to what he was doing, and kicked him out of the Heisman conversation, leaving him undrafted. I think that he's like an undeveloped Steve Young, and could be an amazing QB, Even in the NFL, But I'm just super stoked that he's getting some kind of recognition, finally. The guy is a total class act, super humble, and has worked his tail off for everything that he has. I can't think of a player more deserving of the talent that he has.
I like your comments but I do think he a Hall of Famer. If he had one position in backfield and played that position every week the whole game each time he would put up remarkable numbers. I hope before he retires that he will be considered because of his all round game.

I have never seen a coach more jealous and disdainful to a player than Dennis Alan. Occasionally he praises him when pressured but usually he pretends Taysom doesn't exist. Every single time Taysom has a great game and lots of press, DA barely lets him get any touches the next week.
