Idk how anyone can watch the scene of them in the kitchen and say Tony doesn’t love Artie. He gives Artie tough love he needs, but he isn’t mean about it at all. He even ignores multiple personal insults Artie throws at him and I can’t imagine another character not getting grabbed by the neck doing that
Everyone's talking about Artie and Tony. But the dynamic between Carmela and Charmaine speaks more about these two men than anything else. Carmella's ivory tower comes crumbling down as Charmaine calls her out on losing status and influence. Artie: "I believed in hard work, like a sucker" not realizing that he has more than Tony does while Charmaine realizes the Soprano family has no legacy and is marrying an underling and rubs Carmella's face in it. Artie wants what the Sopranos have. Carmella wants what the Bucco's have. In the end, the Bucco's won because they paid less and kept more for what was, in the end, still theirs.
Eugene, I'm gonna tell you one thing and this is very hard... Nobody wants to hear you talk. People come here to watch sopranos clips, and than you come with your corny jokes and stories. Just hang on in Florida. That would be a start.
The last scene is so well done. The faux polite small talk is so uncomfortable as it’s clear tony and Carmella are lying to save face. Then my favorite is the lighting at the end after Charmaine walks away. Carmella maintains her fake smile until she walks away and then turns her head so her face is half covered in darkness and scowls. Perfect representation of the two faced persona she has. We started this show with the sopranos seemingly having it all materially but at the end we see real long term happiness comes from honest living and close family.
"So how's Meadow?" "She's great! Not studying medicine anymore but she's going into constitutional law. Very bright, motivated, looking forward to a wonderful future, very successful " "How about A.J.??" "Oh...A.J. is...ahhh, fine. Yeah, he's...ahhh...fine. Poor A.J. He's never gonna get out of his sisters shadow.
Charmaine Bucco really rubbing it in this time. And not just once. She really made Carmella looking for a mouse hole to disappear into. She really strangled here with a velvet rope
Just clocked that when artie says “I guess because you know how to eat you know how to run a restaurant” and in goodfellas Paulie says “what do I know about the restaurant business, I know how to sit down and order a meal, that’s it”
God, Carm is so psycho in this scene. Acting so apparently defensive and weird about what's going on with her kids. I think we've all met someone acting like this in real life and it makes my skin crawl talking to them.
They had their peaks and valleys, but this was probably the only true friend Tony had. Even when their vastly different lives clashed, Tony loved Artie like a brother.
What Tony said to Artie was harsh. Very harsh. But it was what he needed to hear, and it ended up paying off for him. Sometimes tough love is the only thing that works.
One of the very few good things Tony ever did in the entire show, give Artie the advice he needed to hear and it worked. Artie had a positive ending, he gets back to the kitchen and his passion for his profession is reignited.
Believe it or not, back in high school, Artie was more of a bad influence on Tony than the other way around. That’s basically what Tony’s coach says to Tony in his test dream anyway
Going about in pity is another example of a Sopranos character learning a phrase and trying to use it in day-to-day situations. Just like Paulie with commendatore.

He’s probably making more than he could make as a chef in a fine restaurant. He’s just under a lot more stress with having to manage things on his own. Probably would be a lot easier life for him
The "How's AJ? Good... good..." Makes me laugh and cry how relatable that is. Also Artie's dad's advice is one of my favorite scenes.
Idk how anyone can watch the scene of them in the kitchen and say Tony doesn’t love Artie. He gives Artie tough love he needs, but he isn’t mean about it at all. He even ignores multiple personal insults Artie throws at him and I can’t imagine another character not getting grabbed by the neck doing that
"I go about in pity for MYSELF? I gotta tell you boddhisatva that is fuckin' priceless."
Man Artie had wit🤣
John Ventimiglia is wonderful with those little gestures he does. "How about a strolling accordionist?"
Ahhh...the clip where Artie attaches the title to Benny"Criminal Mastermind" Fazio.
Thanks for refreshing my memory.
The healing process, it takes time the closer you are to someone.
Hey Eugene. Any short term box of ziti?
Eugene, I'm gonna tell you one thing and this is very hard... Nobody wants to hear you talk. People come here to watch sopranos clips, and than you come with your corny jokes and stories. Just hang on in Florida. That would be a start.

Wow. That is heavy.
Benny Fazio criminal mastermind deserves his own spinoff
The last scene is so well done. The faux polite small talk is so uncomfortable as it’s clear tony and Carmella are lying to save face.
Then my favorite is the lighting at the end after Charmaine walks away. Carmella maintains her fake smile until she walks away and then turns her head so her face is half covered in darkness and scowls. Perfect representation of the two faced persona she has. We started this show with the sopranos seemingly having it all materially but at the end we see real long term happiness comes from honest living and close family.
I agree 100%. The writers did an excellent job here and so did the actors.
Artie's hand gestures when he talks are brilliant
Artie made one great mistake. Inviting tony and people like him into his life. Honest work also means honest life and honest friends.
indeed, you cannot associate with criminals and thugs if you want qn honest, free life.
If Artie wasn’t a dear friend of Tony’s he would of definitely had a moon roof in the back of his head.
"but does compassion come naturally to her, patience? I'm not so sure."
"what're you talking about !?"
🤣🤣
The way arties face looks after tony tells him nobody wants to hear him talk and his corny jokes was hilarious 😆
Artie writing after constitutional law. He is a great actor.
"So how's Meadow?"
"She's great! Not studying medicine anymore but she's going into constitutional law. Very bright, motivated, looking forward to a wonderful future, very successful "
"How about A.J.??"
"Oh...A.J. is...ahhh, fine. Yeah, he's...ahhh...fine.
Poor A.J. He's never gonna get out of his sisters shadow.
RUclips to Borko and The Sopranos: Be careful, the way you two are looking at each other, pretty soon we're gonna need a copyright lawyer over here!
WTF is Borko???
The look on Tony's face at 2:22 at Artie is priceless
He was probably thinking "what a fucking weirdo!"
Eric Mangini never had the makings of a varsity football coach….
Small brain. That was his problem. Being a line coach is maybe one step above being a special teams coach.
@@douglaswilke8582
Now that is just plain nasty. But thank you. I enjoyed it, despite my better judgment.
Charmaine Bucco really rubbing it in this time. And not just once. She really made Carmella looking for a mouse hole to disappear into. She really strangled here with a velvet rope
Carmela at her cringy best..
"We looking after Carmela!"
What’s funny is that both Tony & Artie are right in their speeches about the other lol
Borko has more buttons than my grandmothers corset, why’s he want me to hit Don Junior and Kino???
Borko wants it to point away from the family
@@pozloadescobar a couple black guys can handle that
Artie to Tony:" Let's do some fishing. We lead the world in electronic fish tracking data."
Very allegorical
Charles schwab ova here
5:12 I thought Tony never wanted to hear that word again?
NOBODY'S GOT AIDS!
We're trying to watch a Borko upload here, and this Don Junior comes along with his corny jokes and his stupid stories.
That last bit of discussion regarding Meadow is so hard to watch jesus, you should issue a cringe warning Borko
“And what about AJ. How’s he doing?”…..long awkward pause….”He’s good. Good.”
That’s parents talk for he’s intellectually disabled.
I think this was after AJ tried to commit suicide.
That's how everyone talks about me. I'm not worried though. I'm not intellectually disabled, I'm just a dumbass
They had their peaks and valleys, but this was probably the only true friend Tony had. Even when their vastly different lives clashed, Tony loved Artie like a brother.
Tony loved Artie like a brother in law.
We gotta talk about your problem.
-Certified therapist Tony Soprano
What Tony said to Artie was harsh. Very harsh. But it was what he needed to hear, and it ended up paying off for him. Sometimes tough love is the only thing that works.
"You start thinking Crazy Shit." Dont know why but that cracks me up every time. Lol
Artie "My stupid jokes? What about that Junior Soprano huh? Talking about you not being a Varsity Athlete? Now that's fucking hilarious."
I’m pretty sure Artie was the only one besides Tony’s wife and kids who truly cared at his funeral
The place is on life support ever since word got out to the regulars Borko is retiring

Tony doesn't get it he had no business having that guy in there doing that scam and having that girl there. He's a sociopath.
Fazio the criminal mastermind. What eva happen dere.
Going about in pity is another example of a Sopranos character learning a phrase and trying to use it in day-to-day situations. Just like Paulie with commendatore.
Artie was crushed when Tony told him to stay in the kitchen! That was brutal!
lol his mouth literally fell open
Don Junior: HBO, I just want to say, I hope your feelings weren't hurt too bad and it never got it back to the Warner Bros.
HBO: F**k you talkin about!!
Don Junior: You didn't heard about the Borkos return? Never mind LET IT DIE A BREATH.
HBO: WHICH SCENE?¿
Don Junior: you're better off not hearing it, trust me!
HBO: Fu** That I DEMAND YOU TO TELL ME Don.
Love how every compliment feels like theres a backhand attached to it.
Carmella's mannerisms after getting owned by Charlemagne are just perfect. Remarkable acting.
Would love to see Artie in Many Saints.
Hopefully with Charmaine's young cans
Tony was just trying to deflect what he did. He may of really been right about Artie at some points. But there was an endgame.
this wasnt about tony, it was about artie and resolving his character
@@Sernival Eh, this is Tony here.

Most likable and compassionate season 6 Tony moment
4:10 when you turn your head like that after someone said something to you, walked away and it was only you 2 in the room you know it cut deep
"This is very hard. Nobody wants to hear you talk. They're tryina to eat out there and you come along with your corny jokes and your stupid stories. Just stay in the kitchen."
You can see the soul leave Artie's body lmao
When they asked how AJ was doing. I felt that. That’s me for my parents
hope you're doing good these days @james-if7iu
Artie was made to face up to his bullshit and his delusions...and he actually grew. Realized that he didn't need to be a rich tough guy who fucked every piece of tail he saw. That he could be fulfilled being who he was and being loved by his wife. Meanwhile Tony pretends he's quiting therapy on his own accord. He's turned away from growth and gone deeper into his bullshit, with Carmella along with him pretending they're happy Meadow isn't gonna be a doctor.
Tony then walks over to Coach Mangini to see if he can fix the next game.
-How is AJ?
-Good
Meaning he is nobody
Artie was Tony’s only REAL TRUE friend.
This talk is probably the best thing Tony ever did for Artie.
Notice the awkwardness when they asked “How’s AJ doing?”
Well the dude tried to off his self
He was interfacing with Rhesus monkeys at Blockbuster.
Tony:You pity yourself, change the menu or change the decor or something
Artie: I guess because you know how to eat, you know how to run a restaurant
😂😂😂 OHHHHH
finishing a show I’m watching and I’m going to do a full rewatch instead of just watching season 1-3 because I find it comforting can’t wait to explore the rest!
I love Artie’s constitutional law hand gesture!
