The different being, if you'd bothered paying attention. The Germans scope had an eye cup. Which is designed for.you to.put your eye right the fuck up to.
Bro i was just watching SPR the other day and I thought that too when I saw this vid 😂😂
The anticipation was killing me 😂
I knew it. I started laughing as soon as his face was in place. Recoil! *________*, recoil!
Rofl
I've never heard a crossbow string scream in agony get some bow wax on that he's chafing lol fr
Bro that's what I thought immediately lol
I don't even do bow hunting and that sounded like pain to me.
Wasn't the string. Was the pullies on the cocking cord. My cheap one did it too.
It's still string related not taking care of the strings messes up the whole bow the sound is the combination of the everything wax would still help a lot, an stuff doesn't need replacing yet rookie move not using lube I never thought I needed that stuff now I basically wipe the whole thing down with it except handle an trigger
Facts
When he put his eye on the scope "literlly", i got flashbacks and my mind was like *Thats a bit to close, fk he can't hear me its a video it already happend*
You mean these aren't live?
Worst trick to play on someone
Lol I got my self in the eye with a 30-06 scope when I was 10. Shot my first deer so I didn't really care or notice that I had a black eye I was just too excited. Solid wood stock bolt action single shot 30-06 thing kicked like a mule.
Happened to my wife the first time she shot my pellet gun. Ouch. Fortunately it was a mild kick. She didn’t appreciate my laughter. I don’t understand why. 🤷♂️
@@garrettromer8499 a few months back I saw a guy in a field do it with a 338 Lapua out of a Barrett .. split his eye and brow open and knocked him flat on his ass... he just lay there twitching for about 20 seconds.. it was HILARIOUS!!
Alternate title: awkward silence and anxiety, the video.
Aye, you've earned your patch.
You're a pirate now.
😂
First I assumed his foot, then his hand while loading. But that eye relief taught him well
Thought he was going to dry fire the crossbow
“That hurt”
One of the most profound quotes on RUclips.
Well, lets commend the lad for the safe way he handled it.
Oh damn. Crossbow Scope-eye. Didn’t see that coming. Pun totally intended
"Scope Eye" was a right of passage for us at Sniper School. 😂
Its really good because the scope fits into the groove it makes in your skull like a puzzle piece, makeing less sway
@@temmie9430 I prefer the idea that the scopes diameter will be half the size of the exit wound and 1/4 the size of the wide open anoooos of the target.
This the type of dad to let his son get slightly hurt to learn a valuable lesson
HAH My dad always said “they’ll only do it once”… my brother however was determined to make sure my dad was incorrect about that statement!

My dad would have been like "you're gonna put your eye out if you hold it too close to the scope like that, here, watch me"
*proceeds to rock himself right in the eye just like he warned me about"
I was thinking there was no way to shoot a crossbow wrong and here I stand, corrected. By you. Hope you're happy now.
"Oh, that hurt!"
Yes, from watching! 👀
I like how he clicked the safety off before he had even picked it up.
Safety was clicked off at 0:33
He even had his hand basically on the rail above the hand guard when he took the safety off
Done that once but not with a crossbow it was with a 308 patriot bolt action
@Niki K98now thats hilarious mine wasn't at all bad just got too close to the scope but thats a whole new level hopefully the guy enjoyed that shot before he got knocked out
Ouchy
Did U think a 308 also is another word for a 22
@Niki K98 it's a joke mate, why do you yanks take shit so seriously
That's an orbital fracture right there
I saw him scope in and immediately went "NOOOOO!"😂
Oh the shooting sound is incredible
"awh, that hurt."
Yeah, I bet it did.
I like how the suspense built up to him scoping himself😂😂😂
Good ol scope eye. Happens to the best of newbies.
I eye started hurting as soon as the video started. Guess I knew wtf was about to happen 😂
He sets everything up, as carefully as he could, peers through the viewsight, pulls the trigger, and awh! Right in the eye. 😖
Lol viewsight? Never heard that before. Thats a scope brother
The moment I saw how close his head was to the scope, I could sense the dread of what would happen.
At least the bop was light, my buddy had his retina detatched by a 30-06...
@@greedfox7842 yea good thing it was a crossbow, yikes.
The moment he put his eye on the scope I was saying to myself, oh boy
Nice build up, great execution
Atleast he didn’t put his finger on the trigger till he was ready to shoot. That’s like the biggest thing noobies forget
I never realized that's such a problem. For me I started with shooting guns and not that their leagues more deadly than a crossbow but I always made sure to be on my p's and q's. I think I saw that video of the gun instructor shooting the ceiling one to many times.
It’s literally common sense ppl who keep or forget their finger is on the trigger are the kind of ppl that shouldn’t be shooting shit honestly 😂😂
At least it wasn't a .50 cal.
Honestly, with my bow I line up the shot before even taking off the safety. Annoying when you forget, and shoot nothing in disappointment, but you can never screw up.
@@Centrifugal_Force what, bows dont have safety, you just pull the string and release it
How does one scope eye themself with a crossbow 😂
One does not simply cross bow with an eye ball
My question exactly
Newtons third law.
He wasn't expecting a string to have any type of recoil, I would assume. That force has to go somewhere, and if you aren't expecting it, and don't have the stock close to your shoulder, you get what happened here.
@@Deshelton10 not necessarily true. I have both rifles and crossbows, and the "recoil" from a crossbow is completely different. The "recoil" from a crossbow travels forward as the cable and cams propel the bolt. The same is not true for rifles and shotguns.
Love the little "ah that hurt" when you do something a bit dumb and learn humbly real quick lmao
Newton’s Third Law: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Yeah, but no one expected it from a Cross bow.
I like that he just says: *"ah"*
And the dad is like: it hurt?

@@misoo7643 what did he say
Well, at least he put his finger on the trigger only when he was ready to fire
Yeah but his hand was in a very dangerous area when he loaded that bolt! Also sounds like he needs rail wax BAD!! Lol
First thing I thought of is why his Dad or whoever was taking the video wouldn’t have said hey stupid don’t put your eye so close to the scope?? Excellent teacher right there!!
So happy he keeps his thumb!!! My toes were curled.
The look was priceless.
That "Oah" at the end sounds like the "Oah" from "Oah, I can't believe you've done this" video😂😂
Neil Breen ;)
Oah
This kids needs training before messing with a crossbow.
Training?! How to put a stock against your shoulder?! You cant teach common sense!
Just stop giving children weapons America.
@@THEEGGMANwooooo Why would we? Who's going to defend you? America is the reason other countries hold back.
Oscar Esteves yes of course, and when the US Army marched into the Second World War, it’s well documented that they sent exclusively ten year olds. Regardless of how safe it is when done properly, it’s undeniable that the risk is still higher than not giving children firearms at all. That’s why children can’t buy them
My grandpa would've let me shoot it like that to teach myself a lesson.
I saw the back of the crossbow bouncing around and was like oh he's gonna get scope checked... 🤣🤣
The anticipation was epic.
Was expecting him to load the bolt while it was still on his foot and for him to pitch himself like a tent
Crossbows have a safety preventing them from being able to fire that the weapon automatically actives upon the string locking back so that isn't really dangerous it still would be a weird way to load it tho
@@theblazingpegasus9151 you could lose it when you’re pulling the string back though. Perhaps he couldn’t quite manage to get it the last bit of the way past the hook. You would have to be pretty dumb to have a bolt in there when you’re drawing the string back though haha!
@@AGMertzy idk how u would have a bolt in at all while ur loading idk if that's even possible tbh
@@theblazingpegasus9151 it really isn’t possible, but honestly that might be how someone would shoot themself in the foot. Maybe for some reason they thought you were supposed to load the bolt right before you lock the string back. So while they’re trying to get the bolt in they lose there grip on the string and it launches the bolt straight into their foot. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That’s just a scenario where I think it would be possible. Again you would have to know basically nothing about crossbows to do this.
Probably should be titled “How not to shoot with a scope”
Scoped...Live n Learn young fella...Glad you put that up...A friend of mine (over 50yr) just got Scoped by his New 300 Savage...Lol... we dont stitch anything less than 4...He'll be fine...😂 Now ya know...Can happen to anyone ...But the next weekend he dropped his 1st buck so all is right n the world...Happy Hunting friends and be safe out there

Knew this was gonna happen the moment he took aim, but I must appreciste the fact that the guy didn't had finger on trigger until ready. That's what more people should learn to do, never aim at anyone even with empty gun, and never put your finger on trigger unless you wanna take the shot.
Better that than Dad's 30-06. Just remember that feeling. We've all done it too, even if some don't come clean.
