They played Ain’t Got Nobody, Jacked up, and the closer on white album (beautiful piano ballad) and I lost my shit. Burst into tears and toppled over. A kind younger person (don’t remember guy or girl) helped me up. I swear I was healed. Godbless you Weezer
This really captures that burnt out feeling of the end of summer better than anything I've ever heard. Weezer finishing these tracks and maintaining this vibe would actually make for the perfect, naturally evolved follow up to Pinkerton whilst still having it's own distinct place in the discography. Weekend Girl specifically just brings me back to being a kid and dreading going back to school as that last week burned away. Such a beautiful collection of demos, thank you.

Senior year starts up in 2 days (as of me writing) which means this marks the last time I’ll be doing my tradition of listening to this a day or two before school starts back up. (Obviously I’ll still listen every now and then.) I started the tradition in sophomore year which isn’t a whole lot of time but it sure feels like it. Hope i graduate cuz i unfortunately have to do a bunch of math classes and science classes (ive failed algebra about 5 times 💀) Weezer give me strength.

Love that Weekend Girl still maintains a bit of the shell of Burning Sun (I still prefer the Green era demo tbh, but this is a cool exercise in expanding the song past the songwriting constraints of that epoch). Pacific Sunset is just an incredible song. I feel Hawaii would have been better to put in for Since You Came Around, however.

Like what in the fuck? 2 decades of mediocrity and then you hear this. These songs are b sides? Really? This is almost as good as Songs From the Black Hole which was also tossed aside like trash. Weezer makes some really bad fucking decisions. Holy fuck. No wonder people hate this band.
