I had a lawn mowing business. then started spraying. Now I manufacture the best liquid fertilizers for lawn and ornamental and we supply a lot of companies here in Florida. Lawn mowing has so many moving parts, spraying is more profitable. I suggest selling the shrubs and trees on the property on top of the lawns.
We like to provide lawn care to the customers we mow. It's a great add on and we have control of the cutting heights and cutting frequency. We really like it this way.
some round advice by the way. I think it all depends on how much money you want to make and how many hours you want to work. You have to have a work and life balance too. Good video
Hello I'm on lawn care business service and a few customer I have asking me for weed treatment but I don't know which is the best for treat grassy weeds and broad leaf weeds. I need a weed control especially for bermuda grass and tall fescue grass. Thank you for help and your time
If spraying weeds and fertilizing was so lucrative, wouldn’t Teddy still be spraying instead of selling equipment to others? Teddy knows the game, there’s more money selling rigs than there is spraying lawns.
Question? So I run a lawn care business just started it last summer. I have worked as a spray tech and I’m golf course grounds I’m the past with year of school in horticulture, so I understand the business but as an owner I can go out and make over 600 a day mowing with my accounts I have that are weekly mows. So I am spraying as well but have only 30 accounts spraying so not making much there yet but I feel like by the time I spray a yard subtract the chemicals that it comes out to about a mow for the size of yard anyways? Is it just more volume that makes spraying more profitable? I do offer all services to our mowing customers so we are always busy but I’d like to just concentrate on mowing and applications.
You will need an applicators license. You will have to spend between 2 to $300 for the books they could be purchase online. Your math skill will have to be up there too
True but instead of buying the books you can find all information for testing and study materials online per state. Digital.copies of each test for each state is online for free.
Nothing is better than having a mentor in business. Well said Teddy!

The licenses all have pest control I am looking for applications that are for herbicide. Is the certification that same?

Yes, unless you get big jobs. I can do my teaching job and do this on the side and make a few extra k.
Teddy making $864,000 a yr? If one truck is 2400 a day x 30days x 12months that’s $864,000 a yr.. still both are great fields
Good, Good 👍
Good job guys
Is San Antonio a year-round market?
How much chemical exposure are you subject to? I think it’s a dumb question, but is it completely avoidable?
Has anyone bidded herbicide (Rd up) application per sq yds vs per 1000 sf?
