This was fantastic! Love how precise and clear Scott and Kirstie were on their backing vocals, those sound extremely difficult. Matt and Kevin did amazing and their balance was perfect. Mitch was of course out of this world haha
@@W3lle Straining is how you blow out your voice and end up on vocal rest for a year. I don't hear any less power, just more richness to a voice that was already beautiful--but we all have different ears so we all hear different things. Something that amazed me from last year's world tour was that for the Sydney, Australia show, Mitch was sick enough with a throat infection that he had to sit off to the side in a chair for most of the performance--and he still hit every one of those notes!
Out of all their previous performances of this song, only the singapore one was actually different. It was obviously because mitch was hella hyped up in that show (aka mitch downing 3 red bulls before the show)
Again, thanks for posting these clips since the audio is mixed well since its for streaming it live at the time. I always come back to hear Matt's bass parts. :) Also, what's your lowest comfortable note you can hit?
Hi, I’ve just seen your comment. My lowest chest note is Ab1, and i get out a messy chest fry mix G1. But im not trained, so all of my voice is a bit messy
@@marieke8369 This is in perfect timing. In prior performances they start out too fast and Kevin slows them down so the tempo will fluctuate. Here since the tempo is solid from the beginning so it sounds like they have a metronome in their earpieces to keep them together.
@@marieke8369 yup. it's like a drum though...you get used to it pretty well. It's used a lot in musical theatre (because of time and timing reasons)and shows which frequently switch performers (like tribute bands, shows on ships, parks etc.)
Hello 👋🏻, here: ruclips.net/video/5L1X5J5lcqE/видео.html It's not the hole thing, but at least it's something ☺. I'm not from U.S i don't live there, so I'm unable to see them in concert 😞, so when someone share links like this, I'm very grateful to them, thank you. 😌🙏🏻
@@Ptxlive Thanks; I can't get those for myself. I saw a report from PTX dated two years ago that said his lowest note was A1. I've seen something more recent online (but not officially from PTX) that says his current lowest is G#1. That's in basso profundo territory, but not blowing-out-speakers territory. Not that we especially want him to blow out speakers (certainly the people who own the speakers don't), though it was always good for a laugh when Avi did it. Also, it's prudent to arrange songs so that he isn't locked into HAVING to hit his lowest or highest note every time they give a concert. No matter how much they do to care for their voices it can't prevent an occasional off day.
At first, I was confused why a proper recording of this cover wasn't more popular.. Quite soon after I pressed play the answer became obvious, it's vastly inferior even if you disregard that it's without Avi which sorry not sorry already means it doesn't stand a chance to even be close to as great
Once-in-a-lifetime type of musical group.
Mitch has one of the best voices I've ever heard in my life. I had a huge crush on him 10 years ago. lol

Wow. Just wow. Mitch used to strain slightly when he sang the high notes here….now it’s just a showcase of vocal talents for everyone

I'm gonna put in some appreciation for Scott's gradually lowering riff during the build up of the high note.
I dont know how, but Mitch is still getting better and better!!! Omg!
They changed this up a little bit from their "Singapore" performance. I like it. Still clapping after Mitch's high note.

I love how warm and precise this sounds. Beautiful performance and top quality sound. Kudos!
I can’t believe how awesome this is. All of them are just incredible
Mitch has my favorite set of vocal chords ive every experienced
Wow 전부터 좋아하던 노래라 문득 라이브는 어떨까 싶어서 찾아봤는데 음반보다 더 짱이다ㅋㅋㅋ 역시 펜타토닉스👏

Great performance! You all brought it as always! Great job on the bass Matt!!
He hit that high not so effortlessly. Amazing voice.

You can tell they’re clicked on this (they have a metronome in their earpieces) thank goodness lol
Could you maybe tell more about this?
I am curious to learn😀

@@MW53516 that’s interesting! Any idea what that sounds like? Just a very fast clicking sound? That sounds superdistracting to me ☺️

Does anyone know what Matt's lowest note was on this?
C#2 multiple times in the section starting at 1:48

Doesn’t sound the same without Avi’s overtone
I was thinking the same thing :(

Avi😢 . It's seems not like it was before. It's not bad but less powerful
