I genuinely can’t imagine what kind of times one of these rigs could put down on a drag strip if they could hook… those valves never even went past 50% on the superchargers and they were absolutely shredding 30” tires
That's the thing, they probably couldn't hook, but if they did it would be sub 6.5 seconds
The first was a drag car Victor bray in his castrol top door slammer car that kinda open the flood grates and shown ya can turn a big block to sit revving off its head with out killing the engine the birth of the grunt file's
Think bray got down high 8s or low 9s but for some reason he wanted to chase the 4 second record America set and we dont have the nake or skills in funny cars

No but for some reason you know exactly where the cars sitting and to clear a bit of smoke ya quickly wipe around plus summernats have been around 30+ years the burn out pad never changes and most the guys are 3rd and 4th gen now the pad better then there family.

I'm sorry but them Holden Monaro utes are so badass I fell in love withem the first time I seen one on the internet!! I'm in the process of getting a black 2003 Monaro ute roller from a shop in Colorado that imports them and they swap them over to left hand drive with a GTO donor car, I got the chance to drive a R32 with around 500whp it was weird being on the wrong side and shifting left handed I could barely do it lol HOPEFULLY it will be ready to pic up in couple months this stupid Corona shit slowed everything down but it's got little motor I put together with stuff I had laying around ls2 block with gen4 4.8 crank and rods summits budget turbo lsx pistons and LJMS turbo cam it's got a summit brand aluminum fabricated 102mm intake and TB, prc CNC'ed 799's and 9 year old garret 85mm x275 class turbo, Holley efi and a factory case powerglide I can't wait its gonna be pretty nasty I had that motor and turbo in my Camaro for a few months I love the way it screams when its wound up 7400rpm

@@michaelowen3061 I ended up with a white 2006 SS VZ roller I wish we would have got these theres a shop in Colorado that does the importing converts to left hand drive with gto or g8 parts and front clips I bought mine as a roller already converted to LHD and kept the holden front clip, I've got a 403 ls2 based setup and a th400 in it just waiting for my buddy to cut the front end up and possibly ruining shit that's on the other side of the planet Lol and start fabbin up my turbo kit. Its getting Holley efi HOPEFULLY its should be running and driving in a few months then Im gonna get serious after i get tired of breaking axles and what have ya im gonna basically backhalf it and do a ladder bar setup on it with a strange s60 rearend and slap a N/T sticker on it and do what i do

i understand the cars are built to do crazy burnouts but why do some guys have a cage and other guys skimp on it if your gonna do crazy car shit have a cage you can find vids of really crazy roll racing guys without a cage drag racing guys to if your gonna get rowdy with your car atlest put half a cage in

Dyes and compounds are added to the rubber in manufacturing and they are heat activated - so when the tires hit ~200°c the compounds begin to release their respective dyes

It's true we Aussies are dominant in the burnout business but the yanks can do awsome burnouts to it's not that hard really it's just us Aussies have been doing comp burnouts for years and it's not really a thing at US shows but U see Cleatus McFarland is trying to get it going over there which I love and he even comes here to Summernats and has a go which I also love but we gotta stop with the chest thumping Aussies are the greatest shit cos it's true for now but if enough yanks start doing it in comps over there I can see the day when we get some down here having a crack and maybe even taking home the trophy which I think is awesome as competition breeds better results for everyone specially the spectators and lastly there are a hell of a lot more yanks than us so the day will come when they catch up in the burnout competition arena and then we will get awsome comps cos as I said b4 it just makes people go even harder to win haha fuck yeah I can't wait but we will still be the king's of the tire shredding buisiness for a while yet

It’s judged by smoke, style, how much of the pad you use and the amount of time it takes to get the tires off, you can’t blow before the 1 minute mark either, otherwise you’ll get disqualified.
if you catch fire you’ll also be disqualified
