Hey Josh, if you're reading this at 1:01:04, there was an (MPH) speed limit sign, so that narrows it down to the United States, United Kingdom, Myanmar or Liberia. The speed humps sign also narrows it down further to just the United Kingdom or the United States.
9:39 Those green street signs are good clue for Ljubljana. And in Maribor they would be same kind but red. (also Prague signs are red but different) 18:19 There seems to be bengali script near ground that could be zoomed. Gen3 white car is a good hint for Bangladesh too if you can get the region otherwise. 33:02 Sri Lanka with sinhala script, long white number plates on front, short yellow on back. 41:18 This is extremely easy Cambodia, that kind of language would only be Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. Driving side and lack of Laos yellow number plates makes it obvious. Also if you are in Africa and see blue number plates it's going to be Senegal.
That’s so crazy. Josh got the exact same span point twice in one vid and still didn’t recognize it. 43:55 was the second time he had Thessaloniki in Greece on the exact same road
Don't be so quick in making assumptions about these ranks. They are there because they know some stuff, and don't know a lot of other stuff. Maybe it just so happened that the stuff he knew appeared later in the duel. Without seeing his replay it's impossible to tell if he cheated
Another banger video, you've already improved a lot. With Zig's coaching and diligent practice you'll continue to improve super fast. I'm pretty sure your score will hold up for promotion into Gold, so congrats! Think you'll enjoy the map in Gold a lot more, since instead of "you know it and get a 5k, or you don't know it and you lose" everything is a lot more measured. People will not be getting perfect rounds very often, and people will make more mediocre guesses, providing a nice sense of variety.
With the U.S. Interstate numbers, ones that end in 0 (I-10, I-20, …, I-90) run east-west, with I-90 being the northernmost. Ones that end in 5 (I-5, I-15, …, I-95) run north-south, with I-95 being the easternmost. Hope that’s helpful
Just a little hint…look at the geography of the area a bit more especially when selecting it on the map. With the Lima guess, the mountains should’ve pointed you somewhere else (which you picked up) and then with the second St Petersburg the architecture and lack of water sources should’ve pushed you away from Kazan…all things you could see on the map when you select these places. Really been enjoying watching this series!
@nelsonmandela2766 regardless on if he's copying other people's comments or not he's the top comment you're not so what if he copies it he wants to he can
Hey josh, always have a mental checklist at the start of each round. Will make the process of elimination a lot quicker E.g always check number plates first
57:44 the US interstates (Blue badge with red on top and 2 digit number) are really difficult but in general: the higher the number, the more North and East you are. If it ends in 5 then you are traveling North/South and if it ends in 0 then you are traveling East/West. The major interstates start with i5 running North/South along the West coast, and go across to i95 that runs along the East coast. For East/West it starts with i10 in Texas and goes up to i90 that loosely follows the Northern border
Quick tip for better guessing… Think about your guess before you make it… For example: the Brazil guess around 7:30, itsreally urban, really built up… so more than likely it’s downtown, near the city center, not in the suburbs Other examples, you terrain/map clues to make better guesses If you know you are in Germany and see a mountain range to the south, you can almost guarantee you are in southern Germany… so no point in guessing central Germany. Same goes for basically every other country. You can see elevation changes on the geoguesser map so take advantage of that. See a big body of water? Maybe guess near a large lake or near the coastline… just little contextual clues go a very long way when it comes to region guessing
it’s strange seeing Josh learn so many metas so fast, it’s only been a few weeks any he already knows about Colombian plates and cross signals. mexico city taxis, and israel yellow plates. Can’t imagine if he sticks with it
For the LA one at 1:00:67 you missed the USPS post van which are unique to the US and the house architecture which is a unique style to Santa Barbara or LA which
Fun fact for America: Interstates going left to right across the country are even numbered, interstate 90 in the north down to interstate 10 in the south. For the east to west they’re in multiples of 5
as much as I know you're really trying to take in what's around you, if there's no definitive information around you, keep moving fast. This was how you kept losing
@zerkaa good suggestion for a video, for you and another content creator. How about a walk through of this video with RainBolt or ZigZag and they can give you ideas of what to look for and what you are missing. Both get good content, you get amazing knowledge
how can you do that at the start like when you played the : a learnable meta world - beginner how does it show which pole is it on the left in first one (chile) i dont get it someone explain please
Eastern europe becomes easy once you take a look at the language and get used to it, and that won't take you a whole lotta time! and for India, Bangladesh and Indonesia, zoom into shop/store signs, they typically have the address
A recommendation for you mate if theres MPH on the sign board it has to be from the uk or usa , u missed this plenty of time and blundered it . lovin the series
Some tips for Asian countries: South Korea language has circles, quite easy to differentiate from others. Taiwan drive on the right Japan low-cam + drive on the left
a tip for denmark/northern germany is how many red/brown ish brick buildings you will see. and how you distinguish them is that denmark has yellow commercial plates, where northern germany does not.
if your first opponent was polish it is just entirely possible that they can understand the signs in other slavic countries. I’m eastern european and i can generally read them good enough to get city names
Josh loves to find the exact city name and then when his opponent also has time to find the exact city name, gets frustrated that his opponent gets the right place
I can’t wait for a new moresidemen geoguessr video so we can see Josh just destroy everyone
Josh best sidemen
Harry bout to get humbled
agreed
On his own team now
@@riazorthoHarry still has more feeling for it than Josh rn
I like how you talk through your thought process and meta every round so I can learn it too :)
Yh he's done YT since 2009 so he knows what people want, OG of the scene
I really appreciate that as well

Absolutely
I think he’s addicted (good)
That’s so crazy. Josh got the exact same span point twice in one vid and still didn’t recognize it. 43:55 was the second time he had Thessaloniki in Greece on the exact same road
Bro, I thought I was losing my mind. I was like, wait why do I recognize this?
@@jonathanb4764 I came down to the comments section just to make sure I wasn't going crazy!!
MlIko9 was definitely googling when he lost points based off how far the first few guesses were
Definitely, he went from missing easy domains and rounds to getting spot on rounds with little to no easy info.
Either that or he was just a smurf being annoying.
True

@MartinLobb It's not necessarily cheating, but it's pretty obvious that he was purposely getting the early rounds wrong on purpose
Thoight I was having de ja vu but at 43:45, that exact spawn point was also earlier on in the video!
I saw that girl walking on the right side of the road and was thinking that’s the same location
39:15 idk how he missed the Turkey flags in the window
cuz hes trying to speedrun to pro instead of learn tbh, no hate to him i love the content, i just dont know if hes taking it serious tbh
more zig8zag colab episodes please 🙏
1:10:39 the crosswalk sign has 8 lines here, which is only found in spain, it can also be 12 (highest in europe)
w info
And Andorra 👌

1:01:02 my man said Australia, when 5 seconds ago said Stop sign is on the right🤦🏻♂️
he read miles per hour too
47:39 I literally stay here on the backroads.. what are the chances of this.... I feel like Josh visited me
43:05 HE GOT THE SAME LOCATION AS FROM A FEW ROUNDS BEFORE LOL

43:00 he gets the same location as an earlier round
you still need a few more zigzag sessions or maybe get rainbolt involved. But you can already see you imrpoved a lot, keep going bro
Wow, the effort here is insane. Totally love it.
this is the best thing to watch on youtube

I came here looking for this, saw the same girl
What about her
One coaching session from zigzag and hes already decent thats crazy
Yh Josh loves to travel/is interested in the world so already has a slight advantage
it’s strange seeing Josh learn so many metas so fast, it’s only been a few weeks any he already knows about Colombian plates and cross signals. mexico city taxis, and israel yellow plates. Can’t imagine if he sticks with it
That building in Iceland, Reykjavik, was where they did a scene for Jason Bourne 2016
love this series

24:07 As an American, this hurts me. 🇺🇸
Please learn that NZ and AU drive on the left side. 1:01:10
For the LA one at 1:00:67 you missed the USPS post van which are unique to the US and the house architecture which is a unique style to Santa Barbara or LA which
21:34 spb in domain is shortened for Saint Petersburg..🤦🏻♂️
anyone know the google chrome extention he has at the start?
That was so trippy when I saw the distinct tram and busses at 52:16 from where I live in Adelaide. I was like man I know that CBD straight away! 😂
Fun fact Australia and New Zealand look use Kilometres per hour rather than Miles per hour so instantly you can go USA 1:01:20
so glad you got onto the learnable meta maps! they're so good, have helped me tremendously as a relatively new player!
Josh has been banned from playing this game in Moresidemen channel , this guys to op
Amazing progress, you gonna obliterate them sidemen boys, won’t know what hit’em. Keep up the good work
48:30 , the restaurant spawn is directly Singapore , it's more common . Got it more than 10-12 times myself
Yellow plates in denmark, are for work vehicles, so you will usually find them on vans most of the times
man josh is so good at making videos entertaining. Your thought process and thinking out loud is so interesting i cant help but watch the whole vid.
Fun fact for America:

I love how much you're working on this. Its like everyone is learning together. Please keep these videos up
Australia, Nz and Canada use the metric system.you can use that to differentiate between them and USA
You're learning very fast! As a champion division Geoguessr player I'm impressed
Pedestrian crossing signs are good to learn to distinguish eastern european countries
Bit random but Josh is so funny when he goes "He's on his hustle it's hustling season"
This has become my new comfort series
Just a little advice Australia and nz use kmh and usa uses mph saw a couple of times you’d think it was aus of nz when it was America
I actually really enjoy these , instead of just watching a video it’s more of playing along and learning as well.
Get Zi8gzag on the Charity match
Round concrete poles with white paint at the bottom are a good meta for southern Brazil, anywhere from the state of Minas Gerais down

Really enjoyed this video -- I always watch ZigZag, but this was more relatable while still allowing me to learn a little. Please keep them coming.
Enjoying this, I’ve never even watched rain bolt or anyone else play it, now you’ve started playing I almost wanna give it a go. Haha
how can you do that at the start like when you played the : a learnable meta world - beginner how does it show which pole is it on the left in first one (chile) i dont get it someone explain please
I feel like Josh is really good with learning the metas but struggles with vibing the places out. Good to see him trying to improve though!!
Eastern europe becomes easy once you take a look at the language and get used to it, and that won't take you a whole lotta time!
and for India, Bangladesh and Indonesia, zoom into shop/store signs, they typically have the address
watched literally full video . real good . continue and be a pro my G
love
16:10 ik you knew but indias street coverage tends to be low quality
A recommendation for you mate if theres MPH on the sign board it has to be from the uk or usa , u missed this plenty of time and blundered it . lovin the series
The woman at 28:54 is the same one at 43:21lmao bro got same loc
yess I saw that and went straight to the comment section. Thought I was crazy!
Im hooked on these videos
its so funny how he says montevideo lol, the correct pronunciation is closer to monte-vee-day-oh
I have no idea how Josh stared at 2 signs in MPH and guesses countries that use km/h lol
54:15 (yes, he did correct his guess, but still haha)

The way he said timaru
You got the same location in greece twice i swear lol
Really sick progress. You're spending time on more good information
We need all 7 sidemen on a geoguesser battle royal
I LOVE these videos, I'm on the Geoguessr grind with ya mate.
1:13:24 Couldn't be happier 😂🤍
atp Josh is better than Harry at geoguesser! cant wait for the next sidemen geo guesser video!
Miles per hour signs are mainly U.S. twice you went in the Australia/New Zealand area.
australia drive in the left side of the road
Your logic isn’t too bad at all! Learning how to move quickly and absorb info efficiently takes practice. You will get there!
a tip for denmark/northern germany is how many red/brown ish brick buildings you will see. and how you distinguish them is that denmark has yellow commercial plates, where northern germany does not.
Dude you need to watch the replays to know how your opponents get these places.
59:54 accidental 5K
53:01 legend 👍🏻
I LIKE THIS SERIES
I Join geoguessr recently because of zigzag videos and I'm also on silver 1. Thanks for sharing that learnable meta script at the start.
GG. Thanks for the heads up on the Chrome extension
1 hour 26 mins, hell yeah!!!
if your first opponent was polish it is just entirely possible that they can understand the signs in other slavic countries. I’m eastern european and i can generally read them good enough to get city names
40:53 Cambodia drives on the right hand side bro😅🇰🇭
Love Ur geoguessr content 💋💋🥰🥰😍.Also make a sdmn geoguessr video and smash those guyz😮😮😅😅
For the Philippines, frequented cities at this level apart from Manila are Cebu City (middle islands) and Davao City (bottom islands)
cant wait for the no move duels series
The one with the big Senegal sign that ended up being Brasilia (30:45), that sign said "Embassy" in Portuguese 😅 it was the Embassy of Senegal
1:09:26 Brasil and Portugal have the same spelling. The other South American countrys speak spanish (diferent sppeling)
Josh loves to find the exact city name and then when his opponent also has time to find the exact city name, gets frustrated that his opponent gets the right place
I subscribed to geoguesser because of you so im definatly enjoying the vids. Keep it up!
Can’t wait to see Josh getting on No Move mode
