Girl try not to get discouraged. I think each program makes you feel like that. I definitely did. There are going to be bad days and make sure you take some time to take care of your mental health. It really will all pay off. I am so happy to see more of us in this field. I love your videos!

Same. I graduated in May. It’s really tough but you got this, just gotta put in the work and it’ll pay off in the end I promise!
I love seeing how different schools do things-- yall do things wayyy different than us! I have 62 days until I graduate from LSU! You got this keep pushing through!! First semester we had a test where all we did was go in a room with all the instruments and write down their names and I completely failed like straight F! I look back now and Im like how did I even do that lol its truly crazy how much you learn and improve in 2 short years!

Thank you! I was just thinking about going into this field but when I saw how you started to scrape on the teeth model, I was already screeching inside. If I can't handle the whole process and sounds even on a model, I really don't think I will be able to withstand doing that for hours everyday in the workplace. So thank you!

Girl your videos are motivating me to keep going fr 😭 I’m currently 17 and just starting my prereq but I’m so confused on what to do outside of studies. I’m finishing up my bio&211 majors cellular this quarter and I was wondering what you did while doing your prereqs? Did you apply for jobs around dentistry, do you recommend it? Should I do a dental assistant program, CNA, or other medical job while doing them?

Hey! While completing prereqs, I worked three jobs and attended dental assisting school on the weekends. I would recommend working as a dental assistant or receptionist to build connections and become familiar with dentistry. Keep going and keep up the great work!💜

When looking for a program review: accreditation, passing rate, required pre-reqs, program expenses, & other program requirements like job shadowing, interview, etc. Also, remember to keep your options open and apply to more than one college YOU GOT THIS! 🥰🦷

Hey watching you practice on the teeth I completely hated the sound it made do you think I could possibly overcome that because my dream right now is to be a dental hygienist
You can try earplugs!
Some people don't like it even some of my patients complain about the sound. I actually like it lol but I do think it's something you can overcome.

I’m currently on my school’s hygiene program waitlist & I took every single one of my prerequisites online
It depends on the program and their requirements. I would recommend contacting the program director about online courses.
