I’m currently developing my candles. I’m really excited to start my small business for extra income and it’s a really fulfilling hobby for me. Thanks for the tips! 🥰
Many thanks, I have been researching "how to make simple candles" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Peyaniel Psychological Predominance - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a good one of a kind guide for discovering the trick to be a candle maker for profit minus the hard work. Ive heard some great things about it and my friend got great results with it.
This was great, been searching for "how to make candles pdf" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Cenadoelyn Candle Contemplation - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my colleague got great success with it.
:) 1. Do research, use Google 2. Join a group, join Facebook groups with people who also make candles 3. Watch RUclips 4. Get a candle making kit, get use to candle making first and see if you like it as the kit is made with measurements and instructions already, gives you something to start off of 5. Understand ratios and stick to manufacturing labels of adding fragrance and such, follow the instructions, don't just make up rules 6. Wick holders help hold wicks, just look into basic supplies for candle making 7. Get friends and families feedback 8. Have fun, candle making is a science experiment 9. Enjoy your products, don't just follow a trend because it's popular, do it if you enjoy it (don't buy fragrances you don't like but its popular)
AHHH! Totally fan girling! Two of my favorite candlemakers! Ya'll gotta help a girl out with a general candle business insurance video. It's a subject that's very hush hush in forums, groups, even google wasn't much help but I believe it's a must for candle making!
Thank you, Candle Maker guru’s, for sharing generously your wisdom and expertise with the rest of us wanna be candle makers. Always inspiring, informational, educational, helpful. Thank you, thank you, thank you sooooo very much. Mucho Gracias thank
Totally love this collaboration with the both of you guys. Thanks for the wonderful advice and please keep this going. I just place my order and I can't wait to try all of my kits. Stay safe and God Bless
Thank you! I decided to switch wax to one of the WWCo waxes. I’ve ordered the virgin coconut soy AND the coco apricot creme. Candle making was becoming a chore and that’s not at all how it began. I look forward to receiving and especially playing with my new waxes! Bright blessings to you both!
Reather's Girls Hey! I’ve already gone through 5 lbs of the Virgin coconut soy and I am in LOVE! It is such a joy to work with! No more sink holes, no repetitive reheating with my heat gun and the top is SO creamy smooth! I’m so happy I decided to try these waxes. I haven’t even worked with the Apricot creme yet and can’t wait to see how it behaves. The VCS is a DREAM! I started off at 9% FO, but bumped it up to 10%. I believe the FO suggestion on the WWCo site says 8-12% but I think I’ll stick with the 10% and see how the CT and HT are. You should def purchase at least 5 lbs of the VCS to test and see what you think? I believe you’ll love it too! All the best to you!
Great video and shout out to Stanley. Wow what a journey you've been on and happy for you. Wooden Wick Co I love your coco wax and scents just wish you had a store open to the public so we can smell your fragrances for us local peeps.
Yay! Washington State represent! I am starting my small candle business here in Seattle and want to introduce my own candle line(s). I LOVED the reviews/collaboration since I learn so much from both channels and platforms! I can’t wait to explore, create, and launch! Thank you for sharing all your candle knowledge with us! 🤍 Can you please do a video on your diffuser products and how to create a diffuser properly with your products?
Great question! Because coconut oil is actually burns hotter than beeswax, it likely will have the opposite effect. If you're looking to help the beeswax burn faster however, we recommend adding 5% coconut oil to your beeswax. To slow down the burn you can try a smaller wick, if using wooden wicks you can try one with less thickness and it will increase the amount of time it takes to burn.
@makesy thank you 😊 what if you add steric acid, but then I guess it's not going to be organic anymore. I wanted to make beeswax sheets for self folding candles. Do you perhaps have any idea how to make beeswax sheets?
We are so sorry we never got back to you. Great question! For further information about this please contact us at hello@makesy.com and our customer service agents can confirm that information!
The Wooden Wick Co. it was a wooden wick. Also for my HTP/LCS wicks I’m trialling out, all end up with “mushroom” and I’ve read it’s because the wick is too large and consuming more wax while burning? If I size down then my candles doesn’t melt to the edge... what to do?
Hi Alex, that could vary based on what type of business you have. I.e. making for art / recreation, manufacturing private label candles, making for wholesale etc. You can find more information on the NAICS website: www.naics.com/search-naics-codes-by-industry/
thank you so much!! my mom loves making candles and i want to help her with her business! i hope the best for her, but it seems like she’s not the best with promoting her business :( she’s not a very “techy” person
Hi there! Well the good news is that most of her first customers will likely be people that she already knows. :) Also Etsy is a really user friendly platform if she chooses to sell there! She could also reach out to local boutiques to gain wholesale exposure!

I don’t understand the purpose of this video. One of her kits is $75 and it makes 2 candles; and, that is if you get it right the first try. How can you start a business, and turn a profit buying kits? No heating pitcher, thermometer, or other basic equipment included in the kit. Very expensive way to test waxes, fragrances, and wicks; not to mention ability. Is there something I am missing? Kits seem like the absolute wrong way to go.
Hey there! Our kits are designed for DIYers or people who have not made candles before. They aren’t designed for those interested in making candles for resale. We sell the components a la carte in bulk as well for anyone interested in making and selling candles as a business model. Hope this helps clear up! 😊
Your customer service is terrible..I mean why don’t you respond to people? I sent a message via your form but it’s been a week. You should hire people to keep up with demands. Or don’t offer products that you can’t keep up selling or provide customer service. Before RUclips, I suggest you attend to your customers.

Question. Will coconut oil increase my beeswax candle burning time? If so, how much coconut oil must be mixed with the beeswax? Thank you

Hi, why does my CocoSoy was turn brown when melted? So after a burn it would have a top layer of brown yucky looking wax.
Hey there! Are you using a wood or cotton wick?
The Wooden Wick Co. it was a wooden wick. Also for my HTP/LCS wicks I’m trialling out, all end up with “mushroom” and I’ve read it’s because the wick is too large and consuming more wax while burning? If I size down then my candles doesn’t melt to the edge... what to do?

what are your thoughts on using essential oils as the fragrance?
Fragrance oils will give you a much stronger hot throw and they’re nice cheaper as well.
I've had a candle making kit saved on my Amazon list for the longest time now and I just won't click buy now😩
Aw! Why so? Don't be discouraged! You can start small or as a hobby :)
