- Hi! Today I unbox and test out the Esterbrook Estie in Sea Glass. This is my first estie so I am super excited to share this first impression with you! I inked this pen with Yoseka Ceramics in Tang Mi Se Blue - one of my all time favorite inks.

I had such a hard time deciding, but I thought it would be best to just go for a nib size I was comfy with. What if I hated the journaler's nib and tainted my want to try esterbrook ever again 😂 my overthinking self went the safe route. I'll def get that nib on my next estie

It was truly a pleasant surprise. The nib is so nice to write with and the pen is so comfy to hold. With color way do you have your eyes on?

I have the same dilemma. I keep considering the price point on a steel nib vs the price of a gold nib.
Exactly, considering you could get a a sailor or platinum century (which the equivalent M nib is smoother than this steel) on amazon or even during current sales for less the price of this pen. I don't necessarily regret the purchase since it is such a pretty pen and it is the smoothest steel nib I've ever tried, but my gold nibs are still my top faves🤭
Beautiful pen, Paris and I love the ink pairing with it. Like you, I've been debating an Estie because of the price point for a steel nib. The sea glass is stunning and calls to me being one that loves the beach, but I'm also feeling drawn to the winter white in an EF nib. Are you still enjoying your F nib?
Omg I love that color and it's totally what I would get. I like the classic look of Esterbrook. I just did a Wikipedia search and they were originally from New Jersey!!
I'm obsessed with it! I swear is writes way soother than day one and I'm telling you it was 😗🤌 It's nice to have something a little different in my mini collection. All of my pens are very classic looking, brown and black, even my one "fun" colored pen is mostly a solid pale jade color, almost grayish. Omg, I read about that last week!! It was meant to be, a sea glass pen has a home here in Cape May💙

I really want to try a Leonardo, that jade one is stunning!!!! I can honestly say I adore my Estie, it's so buttery and I swear it gets even better the more I use it - comparable to my gold nibs. I even have stored in my gold nib case. I rolled my eyes every time I saw one, cus I thought it was over hyped, but the hype is real 😍
This is such a gorgeous finish and a pen on my radar for a while but the thing that has been putting me off is everywhere I have looked to buy this pen it does not seem to have the esterbrook branded nib. May I ask where you purchased yours please? I'm so happy to hear you love yours as its worrying when you are not 100% sure. XX
I got this one at Atlas Stationers, they had it for the lowest price at the time. What shop were you looking at? You can always buy from Esterbook direct, but there often some reputable shops that carry Esterbrook at a better price. Places I trust are Goulet Pens, Jet Pens, Anderson Pens, Pen Chalet and GoldSpot Pens. 🥰
