    Thanks, just bought a 4090 (upgrade from a 3080) and one of these to go alongside it to upgrade from my 9 year old Corsair 860W PSU. It's £200 on Scan which is pretty reasonable IMO when compared to other brands. I've got a day tomorrow fiddling around with my build now!

    Finally!! So excited for this. I’ve been using there power supplies for years and was worried I would have to use a different brand psu for the 4000 series gpu. Thank you for your overview

    How come you’re the only person on RUclips to have this psu? When are we getting a more in-depth review/build?

      Others have got it, I just wanted to make a separate overview for anyone considering one. Build will be in a couple of weeks with the H9, just waiting on fans.

      @@jordanash Cool! You are the only one who has posted a video though. Can’t even find any reviews on google. I will probably buy it on Tuesday when it becomes available here in Sweden. Gonna build a fairly future-proof PC very soon!

      @jordanash  Год назад

      Yeah reviews will be slow, as you can only really review if you have the Sunbeam tester and they're 30K to buy... Sounds good!

    I wonder how flexible the cable is after you connect it and how much clearance you need. Thanks for the video.

    Great video man! Question, will that single psie 600w cable work with the 3090 ti? Thanks!

    What left me a little puzzled are the - CPU & PCI-E connections ! It says ''CPU & PCIE'' does that mean i could possibly plug in a cpu 8 pin cable in a pci-e slot and work fine ? Witch ones are the CPU 8pin slots ? On the Left ? And PCIE on the right or ...? Are they Universal and i could just plug a cpu 8 pin cable in any of the 4 slots and not worry about wich is wich ? Are The ''CPU'' And ''PCIE'' connectons and power outputs the same ? Thats what i don't get !

    • @jordanash
      @jordanash  6 месяцев назад

      They have the same PSU end, but different ends to connect to the components. They're also keyed so you can't pug a PCIe into a Motherboard CPU power and vice versa.

    Good evening, can you advise on whether this PSU is compatible with the ASUS Rog Maximus z790 Hero? Specifically the 6 pin PD_12V_PWR underneath the 24 pin?

    • @jordanash
      @jordanash  Год назад

      Hello! Yes, this will work well. The additional 6 pin is from a PCI-E connector, and there's plenty on this.

  • @AndreyMNE
    @AndreyMNE 9 месяцев назад

    The power supply has 4 PСIE 8(6+2)pin connectors, but only 2 cables are included. Why?

    • @jordanash
      @jordanash  9 месяцев назад

      They're daisy chains.

    Can I also use the NZXT C1000 for the 4070 ti ????
    I have PCie.5 Mainbord

    • @jordanash
      @jordanash  Год назад

      Yes, but it doesn't had the 16 pin, so you'll need to use the adapter.

    • @SagDasZauberWort

      @@jordanash Then I have to buy nzxt c1200 because it has 16 pins right?

    • @jordanash
      @jordanash  Год назад +1

      You don't *have* to if you're happy using the adapter. But it you want one cable, then you'll need the C1200

    I recently bought this PSU. Unfortunately NZXT uses proprietary connections that have no aftermarket support. So this is essentially a NON modular power supply. The included cables are extremely bulky and stiff. Most of the cables have several long bulky redundant pigtails. If you’re working in a mid-tower or smaller or just want clean cable management, I’d strongly recommend NOT buying this PSU.

    • @jordanash
      @jordanash  7 месяцев назад +1

      Proprietary connections are usually so you don't use incompatible cables and blow something up, *lots* of companies do this. What do you mean about the pigtails? Most motherboards use two connectors for EPS and most GPU use two PCIe for power, with exception of the highest end NVIDIA and AMD cards

    • @richardbixler
      @richardbixler 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@jordanash I worded that poorly. I should have said NZXT’s propriety connectors are completely unique and not shared with any other manufacturers (as far as I know). So the custom cable options are pretty much non existent. As for the provided cables, all of them have 3-4 redundant pigtails or splitters. Most manufacturers supply a larger variety of cables, rather than a handful of cables with a half dozen different connectors spliced onto the end. SATA cables, sure this way you can piggyback several drives. This is ridiculous for CPU and GPU cables. Essentially there are about twelve stiff bulky leads coming out of my PSU and I’m only using five. Also, a lot of theses pigtails are at the end of the cable run. So I need to use extensions to hide the unused leads and connectors. I wish NZXT would either sell single ended upgrade cables or incentivize other companies to do it for them.

    • @jordanash
      @jordanash  7 месяцев назад +2

      Cablemod might start doing cables for NZXT if there's enough demand, they also need a good amount of SKUs to warrant it in the first place, and there's only four at the moment.

    • @richardbixler
      @richardbixler 7 месяцев назад

      @@jordanash I actually did find some on Cable Mods custom configurator. Only it would be about $200 to buy all the ones I’d need. Literally more than what I paid for the PSU itself. It’s a shame because it’s a great PSU other than the cables. In a full tower it would be a non issue.
