What a shot especially offhand. Congratulations on a great deer. We had a camp near Speculator years ago hunted the Adirondack’s it really teaches you a lot about hunting truly wild deer

To the people who have nothing better to do than comment about not seeing any orange on him, get a life. We all hunted here for years without orange and every time DEC has to rescue someone, it’s a hiker in the high peaks. Don’t downstate my upstate.
Thats why ya wait after the shot not running after the deer!!!! You had no idea where ya hit him was not lung blood or liver!!!! Congrats on finding him wasnt for snow ya probably wouldnt have! Hopefully the kid learned a lesson that you should have taught him!
