Supply issues have delayed finishing the deck once again BUT I can still break out my brand new Dewalt 3100 PSI Pressure Washer built in the USA with a super reputable Honda Engine... Is it as good as I expect it to be???
Birds love clean cars and apparently new decks! Still looks awesome and I'm sure you will finish it up soon!
Hahaha! They sure do.
Nice machine, more than enough pressure. I agree that using a soap attachment on the wand is far better so you won't get the corrosion in the machine part. Have a great weekend Sam!
So glad you mentioned that. I had a machine quit on me after one use with the soap mixture. Not saying the new one would have any issues but why risk it, right? 😉👍
About 15 years ago I took a chance and bought a Chinese power washer for pennies. 3700 psi and 4 gpm and it's still going! lol The only thing I had to do was take the manifold before the pump off to fix a stuck spring that held a ball bearing in place. In todays global climate I wouldn't give China a dollar if I can help it, but my machine is still going! lol
Wow! That thing is powerful! When you find something that lasts like that, you're justified no matter where it came from. I'm finding my predator engines from Harbor Freight are surprisingly reliable.
Nice machine, and you are right about Honda engines! Looks fairly lightweight as far as gas pressure washers go!
Thank you! Yes, I like the size compared to other similar models 👍
I recently purchased the same pressure washer. What a machine ! So let’s say I’m ready to store it until next year, while the pressure washer is running do I set the knob to FUEL OFF? If so how long do I leave it at FUEL OFF before turning the knob to OFF or do I leave it at FUEL OFF?
I'm pretty sure you leave it at fuel off until it shuts off. That way there's no fuel left in the carburetor. Also, add stabilizer to any fuel remaining in the tank. Hope this helps! 🤠👍
@@samsdoinstuffthank you sir! 👍🏼
You need one of those surface cleaner attachments for that pressure washer, would be a heck of a lot faster than a wand and tip application. I have a little 8 or 10 inch one for my electric pressure washer, much quicker for cleaning the carport than the wand and tip.
I went electric this time after wasting a bunch of money on a gas powered one in the past and only 3 uses and burned the pump up because you can't let them idle between uses...stupid design and ridiculous price for something that only lasted 3 uses. I like the electric because it shuts off immediately when you release the trigger....Been thinking of getting a higher PSI output model though so I can get a larger surface cleaner.
Thank you! I have been looking at surface attachments for the driveway. Never thought about it for the deck. Good tip 👌
@@samsdoinstuff We have a Hotsy pressure washer at work that does hot water pressure washing and our surface cleaner if I recall is a 24", but our pressure washer is 4,000PSI....does great on sidewalks and other concrete surfaces too....with a lower PSI pressure washer like yours a 12-18 inch model would probably work great. Its basically just a round cover with a 2 head spinning spray wand underneath.
This is a nice machine I was wondering do you think this machine would work on dirty concrete and for old dirty fences?
I have used it on concrete and it works very well. I'm certain it would work on vinyl fence, but if a wood fence is too old, it might have enough power to damage the fence. Be careful 👍
It will eat up concret if you’re not careful
which gas do you use? thank you
Great question. I'm sure the absolute best thing to do is use ethanol free gas, but I always just use regular gas. I've never had a problem with a Honda engine. 🤠👍
@@samsdoinstuff thank you
do i take out the oil from the same hole for service ? i have a pump
Yes. I do not see any drain plug for removing the old oil. I think the intended procedure is to dump the old oil out of the tube from which it was filled 🤠👍
@samsdoinstuff my friend gave me this exact same one for free runs great but never serviced the oil
@@samsdoinstuff do you how much oil does it take by any chance, thanks in advanced
@@acordeon365diaz3 It looks to me like 14 oz 🤠👍
i need info on wand hose length for high jobs? please
It comes with a 1/4 in X 35 ft hose. I mentioned in the video how stiff it is but after a few uses, it is becoming more flexible 👍😁
pffft i thought you were talkin about the feed hose
does anyone know if this 3100 psi and the 3300 psi is a major difference and is it worth the $80 difference?
both of the dewalt brand ones like this one
I'm not sure if there's any difference besides the psi. I bought mine mainly because of the Honda engine 😁👍
The only difference is the gas tank 3300 it’s bigger water pressure the same
You didn’t say anything about priming the water line, bad advice in my opinion
@@DonGamber Thank you. The unit comes with detailed instructions. 🤠👍
