The information contained on the eggshell began in the 1950s in Europe: traceability! They have already tried to “pass” this requirement in other Brazilian laws. However, it did not go ahead.
Now it is!
“Art. 41. Eggs intended for direct consumption must be individually identified, with the expiration date and the registration number of the producing establishment, when primary packaging is not used”.
Sole paragraph. The ink used to print or mark the shell of eggs in their natural state must be specific for use in food, non-toxic, not pose a risk of contamination to the product, and meet the standards established by the competent authority.
