won't the person who is controlling the camera be able to turn off the camera when he sees that i'm trying to use a bug detector i mean, like, the earphones would be useless if that person is able to see me doing that no?
@Nishchay - Some devices may have the ability to be turned off remotely, but we have not seen this with any Wi-Fi hidden cameras that we have sold, ourselves, which are comparable to the devices sold by our competitors. Real-time GPS trackers have this feature, but they are cellular-enabled and are meant to be able to be turned on or off remotely by the GPS company, not the user, for subscription deactivations and renewals. Still, you may not wish to alert anyone watching that you are using a detection device, so keeping the signal detector in your pocket and the headphones in your ear would be a good way to perform a more covert bug sweep of the area. If no signals are detected, you still may not be in the clear, as many types of cameras simply record to on-board storage that can be accessed at a later time. This camera finder can still locate them, however. The properties of light cause a camera lens to be shaped in a way to funnel the light towards the photoreceptors at the center, which create the opportunity for this camera finder to flash its red lights that would be reflected against any camera lens. When viewed through the red film on the camera finder, all other colors are washed out so you may see the pinprick reflection of the flashing light more easily. Therefore, even if a camera is turned off, the camera finder can locate it if it is in the area of your search.
