- Oregon State's Adley Rutschman set the single College World Series record with 17 hits as the Beavers captured the 2018 CWS championship. His swing from the right side reminds me of Chris Taylor's swing from the Dodgers, but his left side when its for power it looks like a Juan Soto swing and his contact swing from the left side reminds me of Tony Gwynn's swing. Really versatile, I'm a switch hitter and I will say my swings from both sides were somewhat similar but very different as well like his. Crazy how versatile your body can be!

Tony Gwynn didn't have a lot of lower body movement in his swing like Adley does and he swung more down on the ball and not a J shape swing is what I call it. I can see where you're coming from though but I see more Griffey Jr. when it come to the swing in personal opinion. Take it from a kid who lives in San Diego and idolizes Tony Gwynn lol 😂
@@cavittfowleriii3646 I played under Gwynn and trained with him :) I said Adley reminds me of Gwynns swing when Adley hits for contact from the left and not power. When he hits for power, different story.

Good to see this young man put himself in the picture for AL Rookie of the Year this year (2022). The Mariners' Julio Rodriguez will probably win the award, but Adley had a pretty good rookie year himself. (Second only to Julio for OPS among AL rookies with at least 100 games played and an above-average defender behind the plate.)

Don't kick too hard. Getting a ticket into Goss is difficult. I kick myself for not going to see (the future) Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith when he played summer ball for the Clarinda A's. The talk around town was over the top. I regret not going.
