@@BSABD315 the margin for error is a lot smaller. You can get a lot more "good" hits with a metal bat even though they aren't always better than a wood bat, because the sweet spot is larger

I remember being up at bat against adley in 2015. I was a freshman playing for newberg high and adley was a senior for sherwood. he threw me 3 strikes about mid 90s down the pipe and i walked back in shame. i think he hit 2 homers that game as well. absolute stud

The difference between big leaguers and really good ball players is 5 to 10% speed, range, arm velocity, pitcher spin, pitcher control and exit velocity. Even players with a transcendent tool will fail if they’re deficient in any other way. AAA to the MLB is even a smaller margin-but noticeable …In summary, people don’t understand how players can be so close, yet so far to the show.

I played hs baseball at Westlake hs Thousand Oaks ca I was teammates with Christian yelich I remember first day of hs I just moved to the area the varsity coach knew who k was and he said you’ll make varsity but you won’t get much playing time I asked if I had a chance at playing 1B and he said if you can beat out my sophomore at 1b it’s yours I show up to the first BP of the summer and guess who’s taking 400 foot bombs to right field ? Christian yelich at that moment I knew I was coming of the bench 😂 I was real good but yelich was on another level so seeing this type of talent I appreciate adley and his game
