My wife and I did one of those checkouts! She's really into farming video games and after checking out and being disappointed by the Stardew board game, we kept looking and tried Agricola for the first time and liked it quite a bit! Might be getting our own copy soon.
I was surprised I didn’t see Galileo Galilei on that list it. I’m assuming I didn’t see Finspan on the list because it was setup on the table most of the week.
I went over the Dice Tower Library spreadsheet before my wife and I went on the cruise and had 13 "Priority 1" marked games that we wanted to try. Ended up playing all of them plus 3 others, despite getting a bit sick at times. Sky Team and Harmonies were the only ones from the Top 10 that we checked out. Our favorite game of the cruise was Creature Caravan, with The Search for Lost Species, SETI, and Agricola being others that we're likely to buy now at some point. Thanks for putting on the cruise!!
Number of times checked out is a good metric to start. Would be curious about Minutes checked out. That way you could calculate the % of time checked out of the game library. If a game spent 85% of the time unavailable because it was on a table, that's a hit, regardless if it is a longer or shorter game.
That metric would assume that people check out a game, and immediately play it. And finish a game and immediately return it. That’s what they are SUPPOSED to do … but …
I don't do minutes because games get checked out for ridiculous amounts of times and throw everything else, and I don't have the time to go through and carefully cull anomalies.
Love these stat videos
Bomb Busters was one I wanted to check out the entire cruise but it was always already checked out!
Really appreciated the Agricola checkout update.

@@jeff41768 Yes, Finspan was probably around 20 plays, and Galileo was 18, I think.
It would be interesting to see a metric adjusted for game length.
And number of players
I’ve been on the cruise. It was incredible, so much fun! First ever cruise.

I wonder if you could timestamp checkouts (and subsequent check-ins) and have a category for total minutes checked out.
Man a cruise full of games sound fun. Im sadly so friggin scared of planes and id need to take one to get to the boat.

I would be interested in total checkout time by games
Great outfit!❤
4:34 what upgrade is Tom talking about for Harmonies?
It's a plastic overlay grid that keeps the pieces in place! It works great.
@ oh cool! Do you know if this is this a DT exclusive or will be made available to the public?
It's something I found on Etsy.
@@thedicetower incredible. thanks!
