I'm from Calgary and I didn't think leaving was especially weird. Like if someone had to get to work or something then I would expect witnesses to leave. But I do know that additional statements for police can be helpful, so like I can see why you would stay. I dunno. Didn't think it was strictly required.

A couple weeks ago I was stuck at a stoplight, and I witnessed a guy in the right lane rear-end a Porsche. Me and the driver of the car in the left lane looked at each other with a shared look of, "That guy is fuuuuuucked."
On the brief topic of Final Fantasy 6 awkwardly editing a suicide attempt: back in high school, we were doing a musical called Zombie Prom. The story is that a guy is in love with a girl, but because he can't have her, he jumps into a pool of radioactive waste or something to kill himself, and ends up coming back as a zombie. Our teachers forced us to change it to him "accidentally falling in". Everyone thought that was dumb, but the teachers said we had to do it that way anyway, because apparently they believed high schoolers wouldn't be able to handle the concept of suicide. They also tried to force a bunch of other changes (I forget most of them, but they included getting rid of the term "hooking up" being mentioned offhandedly and removing the word "underwear") to the point where several of us, myself included, left because it was getting so stupid with the censorship and the teachers were completely ignoring us. The drama teacher was passive-aggressive to me the entire rest of the time I was at that school.
Exhibit A for the TRG scandal: This video. TRG wanted for the crime of filming in a public restroom and fleeing the scene of the crime. Chugga and Tim are now international criminals.

I'm trying to remember eating places in Canada from the time my family and I roadtripped there in 1995, and the only thing I can recall at all from there is a Wendy's that had free-play arcade games. That and a store that sold Blue Moose Turds.
The thing with those lights in Canada is that a LOT of pedestrians just hit the button and keep walking IMMEDIATELY into the street without waiting for the cars to stop. That's why the guy slammed on his breaks. I don't know about the ones in Calgary but where I lived they didn't turn red they only flashed yellow to signal to cars that they need to stop

The thing with those lights in Canada is that a LOT of pedestrians just hit the button and keep walking IMMEDIATELY into the street without waiting for the cars to stop. That's why the guy slammed on his breaks.
I don't know about the ones in Calgary but where I lived they didn't turn red they only flashed yellow to signal to cars that they need to stop
